Ariel is my favorite. She's the first Disney princess to have agency (saving Flounder from a shark, killing Ursula's eels in the climax, and saved Prince Eric more than once, making her an interesting character in my eyes because I grew up in the 2000s looking down at the Disney princesses for being girly damsels who just wait to be rescued. Plus, she paved the way for more badass female leads from Belle to Mulan. She as just as interesting as she is curious, playful, and filled with life and childlike excitement, making her instantly lovable and adorable. And her beauty and voice are the icing on the cake.

My favorite Greatest Disney Characters
Moana- I relate to Moana the most granted I am a beach/ ocean girl myself and grew up near the ocean and beaches. just like her
Belle- I have always felt the same with Belle feeling out of place just escaping into her books.
Meg- I am pretty much a lot like Meg from Hercules because I am fluent in sarcasm, I never been in a serious relationship with any guy. I dont open up my love life to any one.

Of course Mickey Mouse has to be number one, he's the leader of the club who made for you and me! Either Troy Bolton or Sharpay Evans from the High School Musical franchise should've been an honorable mention along with Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto, Daisy Duck, Dumbo, Baloo, Bambi, Kermit the Frog (despite living long before Disney bought The Muppets, and Giselle.

My favourite character is Megara. She's sassy, she's charismatic, she's honest (although she lies to Hercules) and she's even cynical in a funny way. For me, she's one of the best female characters of disney because she has a personality unlike most of disney princesses (at least from the 20th century. She does what she wants and always stays true to herself

My favorite Disney character is Cinderella. One reason is superficial: she has my favorite dress, the silver ball gown. But the other reasons are she is kind, hopeful, and believes in her dreams in spite of all adversity. If you have a dream, be like Cinderella and believe in it! And also work hard at it! That's what I try to do! Like Cinderella!

My favourite Disney character for the longest time has been Belle. Intelligent, beautiful, courageoys, loyal-all admirable attributes and she's always the character I've felt closest too(other people have been known to call me Belle and my nickname for the longest time has been Princess. I do have a lot of love for Ariel, Lady and Minnie too!

I was wondering who would be number 1, although it should have been obvious. I think Mickey is just so legendary, my brain did not even group him with the others.
I love Ariel, Moana, Flynn Rider, Stitch and Ursula. The first three show my love of hitting the road for adventure. As for the last two. Delicious badness.

While it's understandable that Mickey takes the top spot, I have to say it's kind of a disservice to the rest of the Fab Five (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy) that they're barely mentioned, and unceremoniously lumped in as Mickey's friends. Donald in particular is an icon on his own, especially so in Europe.

Mickey Mouse is and will always be #1 in my book but my other favorites in the wonderful world of Disney include Genie, Belle, Hades, Anna (Frozen, Rabbit (Winnie the Pooh, Thumper, Lady & Tramp, Pluto, Chip 'n' 'Dale, Aurora, Basil (Great Mouse Detective, , Dodger (Oliver & Company, Mirabel, and Dumbo!
reply

I've only seen it once, but I love Encanto because of how likeable and relatable all the characters are. I have a soft spot for Bruno in particular because I see a lot of myself in him, and also because I love that he is the complete opposite of what he is advertised to Mirabel and the audience.

MUFASA. MUFASA. MUFASA. MUFASA. MUFASA. WHY is MsMojo and - most importantly - NOBODY IN THE COMMENTS talking about MUFASA? He's the literal MOST PERFECT Disney character! Literally no one has him anywhere in their freaking top 30 lists! Seriously, what is wrong with you guys!
reply

I suspect even aliens from Mars knew that Mickey Mouse would get the top spot
I love this list but I would've listed Ursula for The Little Mermaid rather than Ariel and Mufasa for The Lion King rather than Simba, although I definitely like both Ariel and Simba

reply

I would have basically reversed the first part of the Top 20 and last part. Ariel, who has a pretty toxic mindset IRL, cannot be before Mulan, who just has so many qualities.
Simba is way too low, and I said that for many other character between 10 and 20.

Let me get down to my top 10:
10. Stitch
9. Meg
8. Aurora
7. Cinderella
6. Belle
5. Sally
4. Alice
3. Hades
2. Baymax
1. Ariel
My HMs (some are a bit debatable)
Jasmine
Donald
Tom Lucitor
Amity
Mulan

One Disney character who should've had a place on this list is Quasimodo. He's loyal, humble, and shy, but also kind, polite, friendly, and talented. He doesn't even ask for much, just one day to properly experience the world outside of Notre Dame
reply

Pocahontas is my favorite Disney women and any who dosen't agree with me IS WRONG! I don't care that she is historically inaccurate! She is still a beautiful animated woman and a strong role model for men and women!

211: For a list of great Disney characters, Genie is the best and thanks to the incredible voice talent Robin Williams but when the year 2019 came and for Will Smith to play him, we all know thats big shoes to fill
reply

I totally agree with listless and some of my favorite characters even made it on it. It's surprising. To think so many stories made for children have such great characters that we come to love throughout time.

J. Sparrow: Why always the wrong goes on the run
But for me a place a he character and a she character in my heart as one full response. The once I place in my heart is Simba & Rapunzel.

reply

196: Captain Jack Sparrow. Hes the first from the Disney celebrity to give me a autograph
Alongside Glenn Close (Tarzan & 1996s 101 Dalmatians) and Penn and Teller (Fantasia 2000)

reply

Mickey is also Walt Disney's cartoon son. It's actually canon in the cartoon world that Walt was his dad! It's not just figurative, like with Looney Tunes and the Warner Brothers.
reply

I love the Number 5.
Ariel is the 4th Disney Princess from the 3 Little Mermaid movies (1989/2000/2008.
Ariel is a mother of Melody and a wife of Prince Eric.

reply

272: Johnny Depp is the first Disney actor I got a autograph, second is Glenn Close and third is the magic duo Penn and Teller from Fantasia 2000
reply

271: Tiana holds a special place in my heart since 2009. Since I saw the movie in a awesome Disney theater. I had a bucket of popcorn and M&Ms
reply
