I disagree that Reid and Prentiss were not shown to be very close, they did have very fun moments through the series but to me the moment that really shows how much they respect and appreciate each other is when Reid opens up to Prentiss about possibly having his mother's illness and how he's only felt comfortable telling her because she's the only one who won't baby him about it but still worry

The star puzzle was the kind of shit I used to do as a child. Making eye contact while solving an unsolvable puzzle. Barely paying attention.

I was always mad when they turned down going out with him because what he wanted to do was too nerdy. Oh sorry, didn't know you needed a degree to go to the opera or a theater or a conference. Most of the things he said I would have jumped at a chance to do.
