#10: TSR isn't a particular fave of mine, but that's one of my favorite moments ever. Not only because it's funny but because they got away with having two 15-year-olds planning to lose their virginity on a kids' show.
#8: Wang Fire was so popular with fans they even did a comic about his fictional life.
#5: Sokka: Who cares that it's obvious propaganda meant to make us all look bad? HOW DARE THEY MAKE ME SPOUT SUCH LAME JOKES! Imma do something about this!
#3: Sokka invented rap battles before rap became popular.
APPA ATE MOMO! I don't even care that it's just an honorable mention, I'm just happy it made it onto the list. It's one of my favorites.
I KNEW CACTUS JUICE WOULD BE THE #1 SPOT. Given how emotionally wrought the episode was, we needed an extra dose of funny.

Ok, like everybody else, I know Legend of Kora doesn't reach the level of greatness this show reached (which is why I stoped watching it at the start of the second half of season 2. However, I do think it has potential, so I'm working on my own headcanon for it. The main aspect I seek to fix right now? The big villain of the entire show. A twisted nihilistic manipulative avatar who attempts to return to the world of the living. Now here's the problem. That avatar's alignement is chaotic evil. But I don't know what her plan should be for both the spiritual and material world. So, for anyone here who is a fan of Lovecraftian horror, has played KOTOR 2 and has seen/read both Bird Box and Anhilation, what do you think her end goal should be?

You Can't Help But Feel Bad For Sokka In The Cave Of The Two Lovers, Being Separated From The Most Powerful Bender In The World Is Bad Enough, Especially When You Yourself Are A Non Bender, But Being Separated From The Most Powerful Bender In The World, AND Being Stuck In A Cave With Those Guys! No Wonder He Had Such A Large Bruise On His Forehead At The End! And I Can't Stop Laughing At His Cactus Juice Commercial!

7: 51
Sokka: That woman is crazy! My life will calm and happy and joyful!
7: 55 (Roughly kicks a nearby stone, which soars into the air and comically ends up ricocheting off a hanging metal sign and striking Sokka, who had been standing breezily with his arms crossed)
7: 57
Sokka: Ow! (Hunched over out of view, he raises a finger in protest) That doesn't prove anything!

I love that Sokka has comedic relief central to his character, but strong characterization outside of just that with leadership, as a strategist, improvement of battle skills, etc. And many times a male comedic relief character is shown having a lot of trouble attracting ladies, but not Sokka. lol

I miss the show so, so much. but while on one side I wish for a live action tv adaptation, on the other hand Im scared the casting (Hollywood has a beyond terrible track record for that recently) and crappy cgi (which is becoming a trend lately) would ruin it. :/

I felt so bad for Sokka when he got trapped with those nomads, but it was still hilarious that he slapped his forehead repeatedly.
Also, Sokka trying to name Combustion Man reminds me of Fred trying to name bad guys in Big Hero 6 The Series.

reply

They shouldve included the face he made when Toph roasted him for not being a bender.
I CAN STILL FIGHT!
Okay. 3 on 3 plus Sokka.

That face & reaction is just so funny!
It made such an impact, its even used as a meme!

The funniest thing that lasted in my mind was, Fire. Wang Fire and this is my wife Sapphire. I randomly remembered it years later and I hadn't rewatched it. This was 2018 and the first time I watched Avatar: the last Airbender in 2014.
reply

Sorry but #1 wasn't that funny, except for sokka freaking out when he thought momo killed them all by spiling the water or when he thought momo ratted him out. Other then that it is overrated and shouldn't even be in the top 3
reply

Its number one for me. The cactus juice scenes always crack me up whenever I remember them. . Lesson learned, dont drink strange plant liquids even though you are thirsty from being stuck in the desert
reply

I don't watch Avatar, but I decided to check out a few clips of Sokka because I wanted to hear his voice actor's most popular role. And yet all I can hear from this guy is an older MK from Monkie Kid
reply

Uhhhhhh. You left out the first time Sokka met the Kyoshi warriors and the part where Suki spins him around, ties his wrist to his ankle and makes him put on the Kyoshi outfit. That was pretty funny.
reply

I love the part when he said he'd give up meat and be a vegetarian until aang showed up and asked him if he had any meat. It's so relatable. I tried going vegetarian but meat is too tasty to give up.
reply

Boomerang! You do always come back!
Or
(After hitting Combustion Man with his boooomerang)
Yeah, boomerang!
(Seeing that Combustion Man is still up)
Aww, boomerang!

reply

sokka: what could you possiably do for a country of depraved little fire monsters
aang: im going to throw them a secert dance party
sokka: Go To YoUrE rOoM

APPA ATE MOMO is one of my favorite Sokka lines and of course Drink cactus juice, it'll quench ya, nothing's quenchier, it's the quenchiest is at number 1
reply

This is why Sokka is my favorite Avatar: The Last Airbender character. The Desert episode still cracks me up years after i first watched it.
reply

DRINK Cactus-Juice! Itll QUENCH Ya, NOTHING IS QUENCHIER ITS THE QUENCHIEST!
THAT Line NEVER Gets Old In The Avatar Franchise!

reply

Sokka didn't try to avenge his mother- that was all Katara. And Kyoshi isn't Aang's ancestor. She's his past life.
reply

To have a Sokka in your life means your have someone who will be the joker of the group as well as the guardian
reply

I laughed so hard in the cave of two lovers episode when he tries to dig out of the cave and gets buried by rocks.
reply

Why? don't Sokka ever do water bending like his sister? Like does he doesn't know how to or wasn't born to do it?
reply

You think that cactus juice could have been another depiction of something adults would be concerned with?
reply

Wang Fire moments and the Cactus Juicy High, best moments there are others but those ones shine the most
reply

Sokka's being on high: DrInK CaCtUs JuIcE! ITlL QuEnCh yA, nOtHiNS QuEnCh-iEr. Its tHe qUeNcH-IeSt!
