Are these guys really that great? For this list, well be looking at characters from Disney and Pixar films whose actions are more villainous, or at least less heroic than they might first appear. Our countdown includes characters from Moana, Sleeping Beauty, Coco and more! If theres a Disney character you think doesnt get as bad a rap as they should, tell us in the comments so we can redeem ourselves!

Id say Jack was simply misguided in his actions. He had been king for so long he was more than just bored he wanted a different life than the one he had and had no idea what his actions were gonna cause.
Woody was jealous of Buzz however he only wanted to make him fall under Andys bed not out the window like he did. Also he wasnt wrong when he said Buzz couldnt fly and was a toy.
Zeus as far as Hercules goes Id say wasnt a bad parent to him. As he said only Gods could live on Mount Olympus. Even though he rules it that doesnt necessarily mean he could just say a mortal could live there too as it may simply be a law of his universe. Also having Hercules discover what being a true hero is on his own was most likely the best option for him.
Aladdin may have been similar to Jafar to a certain degree. However he was honest with Jasmine when he first met her and probably wouldve taught her to live like he does had the guards not come for them. Aladdin later trying to become a prince to get her love was understandable to a certain degree because he now felt she was out of his league after discovering she was a princess.
Troy and Gabriella may have wanted to audition but when they were singing they had no idea Miss Darbus was listening. Also Id say that Sharpay and Ryan trying to sabotage them from competing is pretty antagonistic. If theyve been number one in all of their musicals for so many years then I see no reason why they couldnt just have competed honestly.
Simba in the sequel was Id say I also misguided like Jack. However the way he feels is understandable to a certain degree because those loins sided with Scar. The one who killed his father, made him think he was responsible for it and caused him to run away from home for years separating him from his mother and friends.
Peter pan is harder for me to say to much about. Unlike some live action versions of him that give some backstory as to how he ended up in Neverland this Disney animation one and it sequel give none. That being said in the first movie I dont think we can say for sure hes an adult in a kid body because we dont know how long he has been there. Also despite the way he got Wendy, John and Michael to Neverland they still came with him willingly. So I would still call Captain Hook the true villain of the movie. Right from the beginning we see how evil Hook is because he kills one of his own men simply because he didnt like his singing.

Missed tresspassing into the palace then breaking an entery for Aladdin. Further more taking Jasmine out of the palace would class as kidnapping as no promotion was asked by her father and no exscort to protect her reputation and to ensure her safety.
Comepare little Mermaid one and two. Could add prince Eric an adult marrying a 13 or 14 year old. As Ariel at the wedding and holding Melody looks the exact same age as Melody does 13 years later when you see Ariel looking older.
King Triton behaviour is explained why he acted that way towards Ariel going to the surface in little mermaid 1/2 as it was humans who killed his wife. So would say it was protective fear that was never exsplained to Ariel as she was really little when her mother died giving a large possibility she doesn't remember the full details. Especially since she is the youngest and only one what still goes up to the surface. Singal parents out there who have lost a partner in a unpleasant way would know how hard it would be to decide when to have the truth talk with the kids. Keep in mind she was only in her early teens.
What about the fairies from sleeping beauty putting everyone to sleep in the kingdom after Aura was put to sleep by the curse making the chances very slim to find that one who loved her. Furthermore they give her back to her parents on the very day the curse was going to take place and they never prepared the poor princess for the truth. It's like fostering a child changing its name make it think it's yours then when you have to hand it back by the way your real parents are and you real name is. You are going back to them today, sorry we never told you even throw you was only a newborn when you saw them but your going back to them and must go by your birth name. Sound pretty cruel doesn't it. But it's what the fairies did.

Koda was malicious based on indigenous people belief. And the story about brother bear actually uses the attitudes of people who set up residential schools. Not the obviously not to the person gaslighting that on this video. The evil person in NMBC was not Jack since he is the King of Halloween and had no checks on his power. The Dr. that made Sally was Evil. So the villian picking is biases and wrong. And the King and Queen where the Evil ones on Sleeping Beauty any past ruler would have been humble and invited all magical beings so if you mention the wrong of Maui you have to hold the same standards. And the actual story isnt correct anyway. Also Zeus was known to be a horrible vain jerk. The whole changing of the Chicken Little story in itself was bad. Taking a tail about over exageration caused by and making mistake because of not understanding anything outside the spear is bad. Also the interpretation of the Abuelita was as in majority of Disney retelling prejudice behavior of anyone different that the majority demographic of Disney with love of all dead saintly Mothers. Joy is just the people who gaslight and see only their way as the only way. Simba is malicious in Simba's Pride especially when it was the only Disney Characters FBA identified with. Also Disney doesn't follow the actual rules of being a princess or having a actually ethnic story for FBA. And acts like legal segregation and racism didn't exist in LA or the rest of the country of USA. Is gaslighting. Dumbo is a allegory of racism in America

Ones that don't cause the biggest problems in the film so aren't really actually the villain, but what they did is really more a necessary evil that led to solving the bigger problems as well as them learning lessons and seeing the bigger picture: Woody and Mr Potato Head, Sid would still have been wrecking toys, and though people often say that he's only a kid, he didn't know they were alive, what about taking his sisters toys, bullying her, ruining her things, did anybody ever think about that? There's sibling bullying, but then there's absence of trust-ability. Elena Rivera, Hector would surely have ended up forgotten if she hadn't done what she did, he left when Coco was a kid, she likely didn't know who her grandfather really was, but even if not so, Miguel still wouldn't have found out that Dela Crus murdered him and just took the credit for the songs which really were his. The Enchantress, turning Adam into the Beast, well, Belle might not have found change from her boring routine life if not, sure we may never know why his servants ever could have deserved it, but without it, Beast wouldn't have been motivated to change (the last petal falling, Belle wouldn't have fallen for him, and hey, even if he wasn't turned into a Beast but somehow did change for the better as a human, no beast would mean that Gaston wouldn't have led a hunt and would still be shooting poor innocent animals, and degrading women, not liking the idea of them thinking and other things

[Ash Ketchum] Would you say I'm a hero Glorious and brave If I told you something you wouldn't believe? That sometimes I'm scared And I can make mistakes And I'm not so heroic, it seems But if day can turn to night And the darkness turn to light Then why can't we imagine Outlanders can change?
[Kiara] No two creatures are exactly the same No two snowflakes ever match their design
[Ash Ketchum] And I thought I was strong But I was nothing but wrong When I forgot to be friendly and kind
[Ash and Kiara] But if day can turn to night And the darkness turn to light Then why can't we imagine Outlanders can change?
[Ash Ketchum] Would you say I'm a hero Glorious and brave If I told you something you wouldn't believe?
[Kiara] Kovu, here, it seems Knows the real me And would stay by my side 'til the end
[Ash and Kiara] So, if day can turn to night And the darkness turn to light Then why can't we imagine Just why can't we imagine Then why can't we imagine Outlanders can change?

In Kenai's defense, he had lost his brother and Koda's mom and technically started it, even though he didn't know the whole truth till later. Also he did redeem himself, and even adopted Koda as his brother. In Troy and Gabriella's defense, they technically never even auditioned in the first place. They were just singing for fun and Ms. Darbus overheard them. In Simba's defense, can you blame him? He lost his dad to his uncle, and he didn't want history repeating itself. He was just way overprotective. Maybe if he had another talk with Mufasa and Rafiki, things would have changed. In King Triton's defense, he had lost his wife, who was also his best friend, due to a human's pirate ship, and he didn't want history repeating itself. So of course he was overprotective of his daughters, especially his youngest, who looks almost exactly like his wife.

The lion king 2 is actually based off the death of his first born son named kopa, simba was happy that he had a first born son, but zira wasnt having it and that she would have to deal of getting rid of simbas son for revenge of scar and not only that she didnt like how two of her cubs (nuka, and vittony) (sorry I said there name wrong)were playing with the next future king of pride rock, after killing kopa, simba becomes angry at zira and banished her and her cubs including those who followed zira away in the badlands.

I heavily disagree with Troy and Gabriella. They should be allowed to do whatever makes them happy without people judging them or accusing them. Yeah that sucks a bit for Sharpay and Ryan in the start but them not being casted as leads in just ONE musical shouldn't hurt them. The true villains were Chad and Taylor if you ask me. You automatically suck to me if you don't support your friends in what they want to do and instead decide to plot against them and pray on their downfall.

The enchantress did cursed adam for a good reason he had no love in his heart that made him cold and bitter the cruse shows his inner beast that was in his heart but give him a second chance to earn his humanity by being a better person
Aladdin isn't a villain he steals food to survive like every other person would do that are homeless he did say in the song hes broke he even gives his half of the bread to two hungry kids is that a bad person to you he has a heart of gold

When you think about it, the servants were likely tasked with ensuring that the prince grew up with a generally decent good nature seeing that his parents weren't around (the song Be Our Guest gives us the clue that he was 11 when the curse was placed upon him. By that age, he could've had enough sympathy to allow an old woman in need to stay the night at his very large estate for one night.

I wanted to pointed out one thing I realize for a while about jungle book, king Lou sings he need red fire from molgy and he singing that he wants the fire so he can become and man, a man how is powerful, strong, and holding red fire to make people fear them. So in terms he wants fire to use it for manipulation fear on those around the jungle and is taking advantage of a kid to that.

Learn what words mean before you use them. La abuela in Coco wasn't prejudice. She based her opinion on actual things that happened to her, in her life that caused her much pain and suffering. She was a victim of her father going off to be a musician. Even though, he was abandoning the lifestyle it still took him from his family. And that's what informed her opinion.
reply

Sure, elena was only following the rule from her grandmother, but elena went about it all wrong. In fact, she's the reason miguel ran away in the first place. Also, when you look at it between the living and the dead, elena is more like a minor villain, while they put ernesto as the main. Can't blame pixar though

Id say Woody has some antagonistic traits in Toy Story 3. before they learn of the true nature of Sunnyside he is opposed to his friends wanting to start a new life and instead wants them to return to Andy and potentially be confined to the attic for decades while he is all cozy and still loved at college
reply

Andys Toys Are worse than woody because they neglected him which causes him to do all of the bad things to buzz and if your one of those who think woodys the villan try atleast not to say thats not an excuse because if they actually in a villanous benchmark-pure evil they actually aren't excuses
reply

King Triton was only trying to protect his naive 16-yr old daughter from suffering the same fate that his wife likely suffered at the hands of humans. Can you blame him? If the only contact you ever had with humans involved death, you'd keep your children far away from them, too.
reply

Kerchak? He was about to leave Tarzan to die in the forest. He was even being aggressive thowards Kala. And than basically left Kala because she kept him.
I wouldn't put him as number 1 because I get that his bad behavior comes from sadness and loss, but still, he acts bad.

You can't victimise sharpay especially since she and her brother were brought up spoiled brats,
The one time something doesnt go her way sharpay has a damm temper tantrum expecting to get her way
Sharpay and ryan are the only true villans of high school musical

reply

Biggest one is disney itself greedy corp that wants to screw over the little man. plus i seen vids of childern being taken in disney parks just to have the vids get taken down acouple hours later for ''spreading wrongful infomantion'' or some bullcrap reason like that
reply

Umm, humans KILLED king Tritons wife! They were always hunting mermaids and sealife, no doubt they would kill or capture a mermaid all for their own curiosity.
He was absolutely right to tell all the mermaids to stay away from them, have you all gone mental?

reply

I don't agree with troy and Gabriel because sharpy was a bully to Gabriel and always acted like Troy's girlfriend when he obviously didn't like her she was really mean I also don't agree with simba because he was just trying to protect his people
reply

Joy wasn't exactly a villain, she was just misguided. She and the other emotions's personalities were mere extensions of Riley. Riley felt like she was supposed to be happy all the time and didn't realize that it was okay to be sad.

From The Jungle Book 2, I see Shanti as the main antagonist of the film. Because he's an annoying, loudmouth brat. Everytime when I heard Shanti be a loudmouth, it makes me wanna punch her in the forehead and tell her that she's ugly
reply

The thing is, some of these characters aren't true villains, they are just flawed and misguided. A lot of times, one of the biggest parts of the adventure in a story is the protagonist learning aife lesson from the adventure.

Doc Hudson Should Be Here: Although Mcqueen Causes Alot Of Bad Things (for example he accidentally ruined ratidadt sprints) Hudson Treated Him Like Poopy Dirty Trash He Prevented Lightning Mcqueen From Going Home
reply

Joy represents Toxic happiness and I dont think thats right either because I dont think you should hide your real emotions you should be able to feel how you feel my parents did the same shit too me
reply

I think you need to learn the difference of a villain and a flawed well intentioned character. A lot of these so called villains are just flawed people making mistakes anyone would make.
reply

It feels like a lot of people are looking for reasons to classify these characters as villains even though a lot of them are just flawed. Why do people keep wanting the hero to be flawless?
reply

Kenai wasn't a villain he was just angry of the lost of his brother but it was never a reveal why he hated bears and he was scared of them it could be that he saw one murder his parents
