I cant believe that Grease isnt on this list! The movie Grease is iconic & one of the best examples of feel good movie formulas that a lot of the movies listed on her followed. What about The Wizard of Oz, why isnt it here either? On a personal note why did you have to show the remake of Hairspray(2007) instead of the original Hairspray from 1988 with Divine which is the better choice?

I would make the case to replace some of the movies below with these, in no particular order: 1) Easy A, 2) Under the Tuscan Sun, 3) Ferris Buller's Day Off, 4) Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 5) Bringing Up Baby, 6) It Happened One Night, 7) Auntie Mame - Rosalind Russell version, 8) You Can't Take It with You and 9) What a Girl Wants

Hairspray, is special to me cause my brother took me to see his school preformance of it when I was little and I didnt remember it at the time but ever since then its been special to me it isnt my favorite that goes to Les Mis but it holds a special place in my heart

When I clicked on this I was thinking If they don't have Legally Blonde on this list then I will have to tell them they are wrong. But I was very happy to see it at #2. When ever I was feeling sad I'd watch this movie and it would lift my spirits. Good Job MsMojo

The original Parent Trap is much better than the Lohan version, but they're both fun. Bridget Jones's Diary is an update of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, so, yes, of course it's very British. And, speaking of Jane Austen, Clueless is an adaptation of her Emma.

I wish that Princess Bride was higher. Im definitely biased because its both of my parents favorite movie so Ive watched it a million times and know all the lines. But it really is such a beautiful, unique, hilarious, clever movie!

totally agree with the top 3! One of my favourite cheer-up movies is Dumplin' -- SO good and teaches a wonderful lesson that you are loved and valued no matter what you look like and that you should always believe in yourself

One of my go-to feel good movies is Sisterhood Of Traveling Pants. It wasnt on this list and I havent seen it in a while but I absolutely LOVE it! It makes me so happy and emotional at times but for all the right reasons!

I would add a couple of Sandra Bullock classics, like While You Were Sleeping and my fave, Practical Magic. Also some Meg Ryan classics, like You've Got Mail, or When Harry Met Sally. But yes, Clueless rules them all.

Oh man, I was just waiting for Clueless as I watched this video. If Clueless was not Number 1, I was going to have a full on panic attack! Clueless is the best, feel good movie of all time. Thank goodness you agree.

Hairspray (2007) is a terrible film adaptation of the 2002 Broadway musical. You seem to forget the appeal of the joyous 1988 original Hairspray. La La Land is depressing. As usual, your list is way off base.

My favorite isn't on the list. During the pandemic, I watched Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga multiple times. It always made me feel good. Rachel McAdams and Dan Stevens amazing in it.
reply

The Emperors New Groove will always make me happier. The narration breaking the 4th wall throughout, the ridiculous jokes and Kronk just being Kronk make it one of my all time favorite feel good movies.

Miss Mojo making a video about movies that will make us feel INSTANTLY happier
Thumbnail: Mamma Mia
Me: omg no!
Seriously, am I really the only one who did not like it! I feel even more lonely

Why GREASE is not in this list. is BEYOND me.
Grease still continue to make people happy, generation after generation.
This year. its 45th Anniversary.
GreasE is still the word!

I have seen probably 15 out of the 20 movies on this list and I must agree! They ALL make me so much happier! They are all fun and happy and just cheer me up when Im having a bad day!
reply

REALLY prefer the Original Hairspray (without the Terrible John Travolta and WITH the Divine DIVINE) AND the Original Parent Trap with Hayley Mills and Maureen O'Hara!
reply

Groundhog Day, Pretty Woman, 10 Things I Hate About You. Honorable mention to What Women Want and Mel Gibson dancing to Frank Sinatra, it always cheer me up
reply

Surprised at how many of the movies are juvenile and geared to teens. Do agree with a lot of the movies but would have liked more adult movies.
reply

I've seen (and enjoy) Most on this list! I would add 10 Things I Hate About you.
Also, If you like Princess Bride, I'd recommend Stardust!

reply

Pretty good list. Havent seen many of these. My favorite pick-me up movies not mentioned are Monty Python and The Holy Grail and Grease.
reply

Why is everything a musical. like only musicals can lift you up. have you ever seen tears of the sun or any military movie for that
reply

mamma mia is special because that was the last movier in theaters i saw with my late mom I love The Holiday! i binge it year round
reply

I like the original parent trap with Hayley mills Brian Keith and Maureen O'Hara a whole lot better than the 1 you've got listed
reply

Holly shi, Ive just realised, that Jen Garner and Mark Ruffalo were already a couple before the Adam Project on 13 going on 30
reply

I'm glad to see Last Holiday finally getting the recognition it deserves from WatchMojo. It's truly a great hilarious film.
reply

You forgot Freaky Friday. JL Curtis acting as a teenager is so hilarious, and the final musical number is really uplifting.
reply

_Legally Blonde_ is not only super fun, it's pretty inspirational too. One of Reese Witherspoon's finest roles.
reply

A fun list but I would put Mamma Mia at the top for featuring a range of women and ages. Dancing Queen forever!
reply

I would've had Amanda Bynes what a girl wants especially with clueless and the princess diaries on the list.
