I feel like that may be Will Ferrell could of reprise his role as elf in the sequel if they wouldve done it, but I understand that he didnt wanna do it because he hated working with Jon Favreau, who directed the movie I know that actors dont want to reprise their roles I mean some actors love reprising thier roles and I like that they do that and I just gets me surprised that they come back to do the sequels most of the time. Jennette McCurdy from iCarly Said in her book that she made that Miranda Cosgrove tried to convince her to do the iCarly reboot but she didnt want to do it and I totally get that most celebrities that dont want to do sequels whether just live in normal life or either do something else

I don't understand why Olivia Newton John and John Travolta didn't come back as Danny and Sandy in Grease 2. I feel like the end of the first one made it seem like they coul've. Also I don't understand why Julia Stiles and Sean Patrick Thomas didn't come back as Sarah and Derek in Save The Last Danc 2, Sine the first one left them off at Steps telling Chenille she had gotten into Julliard as a Ballerina

I think Will Ferrell turning down an Elf sequel was a smart decision considering both Ed Asner and James Caan have passed away and a sequel without them just wouldnt be the same. Plus, letting Elf be on its own allows it to keep the Christmas spirit alive for every holiday to come.

Cant blame the actors that dont want to show up for the sequels because they arent getting paid well enough I mean who would even want to show up for any job if all they gonna get is shitty pay? But then money is money, so it kind of depends how desperate you are?

It's ironic that George McFly was unable to stand up for himself, when Crispin Glover had no such qualms. I didn't even notice that they'd replaced him as a child, due to him being upside down or out of focus in most of his scenes.

I get Keanu's reasoning, but it WOULD have been interesting to see how the jamaican fellow would have reacted to, once again, cross paths with the guy who tore the door off his car and borrowed his phone three years earlier.

Alan who played Nightcrawler did a great job in X2: however the movie didnt make sense, despite that Mystique and he are mother and son. The movie missed that or didnt read and did their homework in the comics.
reply

I can't blame Keanu for opting out of the Speed sequel. But then again, both Jack and Annie point out that relationships based on traumatic experiences seldom last, so at least they were self aware.

Marlon Brando not returning for _The Godfather_ sequels is unfortunate, but I respect his reasons for doing so. Besides, his role in the first is iconic enough already.

Kirstie Alley as Saavik in Star Trek 2 wanted as much pay as DeForest Kelley to come back for Star Trek 3. She was refused so they recast her character with Robin Curtis.

Watch a shame with Jim Carrey, Bill Murray, Alan Cumming, Crispin Glover, Jodie Foster, Katie Holmes, Rachel Weiz and Will Ferrell, all of them were awesome.

My technical/literal brain is insisting I point out that Bosley was Bernie Mac's Bosley's adopted brother, since Murray's Bosley was adopted into his family.

I read back in the day that Lucy, Cameron, and Drew refused to work with Bill on Charlie's Angels 2 and that's why he was recast. But who knows in Hollywood
reply

Kimberly J Brown from Halloween town didnt come back for sequel of Return to Halloween Town, and theres no elf movie on the sequel its a simple Elf movie!
reply

I feel like the mummy 3 failed. One because it was a different mythology. And secondly, it just wasn't as good without the original actress playing Evelyn.
reply

Good call on some of these, and actually I loved part 2 of Charlie's Angels, loved Bernie Mac cause of him I have to say I'd prefer this one

Robert Duvall not being in Godfather 3 is worth mentioning. Francis Ford Coppola even said that movie is incomplete without him
reply

I'm so glad Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock got back together for The Lake House. If you are a romantic, this is a must-see.
reply

Ive never been a fan of Will Ferrell, but the reason he refused to do an Elf sequel has earned him my respect.
reply

Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachel in the Dark Knight. In my opinion Maggie ruined the movie with her robotic acting.

Mortal Kombat Annihilation (1997) Was One Movie I Wish I didn't see and the first movie also pretty overrated
