Will only include performers who have really made a name for themselves from the 2000s onward. plot twist: Wicked exists. Idina Menzel deserves to be on this list, yes, I loved her as Maureen Johnson from RENT, but I would argue that starring as Elphaba in Wicked in 2003 and winning a Tony for it is more career-defining, plus she was awesome as Elizabeth Vaughan in If/Then(2014. The people that did make it on the list are great though, but I'm just pointing out that Idina Menzel deserved to be on here just as much as the people on the list do.

Id like to say f you to whoever decided Aaron Tveit should not be on this list when he is one of the most technically skilled tenors on Broadway, maybe of all time and such a dynamic performer whos very versatile, both vocally and acting-wise. Does both legit and pop beautifully. And hes one of the most influential Broadway performers and has inspired a generation of tenors. And he doesnt even get an honorable mention? This list is questionable in a lot of ways: / Sorry for the f you but I actually can not believe this.

The fact that Jeremy Jordan is listed higher than Jonathan Groff is poetic if you've followed the narrative that Jeremy apparently has lost out on multiple roles to Jonathan. I agree with both of them being on this list. My only complaint with the whole list is that Shoshana Bean should be more like #2 if we are evaluating purely on voice. She hasn't had the Broadway original cast roles that others on this list have had, but her voice is unsurpassed.

I saw Ramin in Les Mis, Anastasia and Funny Girl. One of my favorite Broadway memories is that I was prepping to audition for a community theatre production of Les Mis. I stopped him on the street in between shows and asked him for advice. He stood there and talked to me for at least 20 minutes giving me advice. Not only is he an incredibly talented performer but he loves his fans! Not to mention that hes also gorgeous!

Im sorry, I agree with most of these, but Phillipa Soo not being on this list is a CRIME. She has played some of the most vocally challenging roles on Broadway (Eliza in Hamilton, Guenevere in Camelot, Natasha in The Great Comet, etc) and shes a stunning soprano. Theres A LOT of talent on Broadway, but Ive honestly never encountered a voice that can move me like hers!

Missed Mentions:
- Alex Brightman (School Of Rock, Beetlejuice): Brought two iconic, and hugely different, film roles to the Broadway stage
- Ethan Slater (SpongeBob SquarePants The Musical): A proper triple threat, helped to make The SpongeBob musical so successful
- Aaron Tveit (Next To Normal, Schmigadoon): No one can compare to this powerhouse performer

The exclusion of Idina Menzel and Alfie Boe practically invalidates this list. No disrespect to Ramin, but Alfie is a FAR better Jean Valjean than Ramin could ever hope to be. And no disrespect to any of the talented singers to have played Elpheba, but besides being the first, Idina was also the best. lest we forget she is the voice of Elsa as well.

Aaron Tveit seems like a very serious oversight. Not even an honorable mention when I feel like he could definitely outsing a few who made it on the list. Joshua Henry too. That man is a powerhouse. But Ramin did deserve first place for sure. But seriously. Stop forgetting Aaron. Give him his credit.

Ramin at #1 is so fitting. First time I saw him perform was in the 25th anniversary of Les Miz and was just blown away by his performance. Also Sutton Foster IS legendary. Having seen her perform in my hometown before she went on to Thoroughly Modern Millie is a memory I dearly treasure.

I love Ramin and it goes back and forth between the two but Michael Crawford might actually be my favorite Phantom. At least in terms of vocals but both are exceptional. The fact hes been in the two greatest Broadway productions Les Miserables and Phantom Of The Opera says something.

Though Lea Michele is best known for television she has as many Broadway credits as several names on your list. The fact that she rescued the entire production of Funny Girl and turned a flop into a huge hit has in-explicitly been overlooked. What gives?

No Derek Klena? Not even in honorable mentions? Mess.
Thankful Menzel couldnt be included, she is HIGHLY overrated. Her annoying faces and SCREECHY vocals? Yikes. I just do not get it. But very thankful Lea BM Michelle isnt on there

Wait! Sierra Boggess only honorable mention? That's a travesty. Such a beautiful voice with perfect pitch. The best Christine (according to Andrew Lloyd Weber, original Ariel and many others (including Les Mis with Ramin I think.

I saw Ramin in the thumbnail and knew I had to find out if he was on the list. Gla ld he was #1. Jeremy Jordon should have been #2 though.
Aaron Tveit should have been on this list though. Sad loss there.

Ramin fangirl swooning in the comments. Seen him twice in concert (one of those was with Sierra) and saw him in Funny Girl. Seeing him next month for the first round of new Italian Phantom production.

I have never even teared up from a voice before. Not even Whitney Houston has done that to me. I really believe this Ramin is honestly one of the greatest vocalists in history

I got to see Jessie Mueller as Adelaide in Guys and Dolls at the Kennedy Center last year and it was absolutely iconic. So glad Ramin was number one, his voice is transcendent!

Ramin is such a gift. He also has no formal training, which makes me adore him even more. I met him in NYC at City Winery, and hes such a gem. His voice is angelic in person.

Where are Aaron Tveit and Lea Michelle and Christian Borle?
Raul Esparza should be #1.
I dont think that Andrew Rennels is that good a singer.

So happy to see Josh Henry here. He was my favorite Aaron Burr by a long shot. Would have added Aaron Tveit and Eva Noblezada to the list!

So they say we can't have Idina, but they start the list with Idina 2. 0. I can live with that. Powerhouse voice to start off the list
