Wizard of oz dominated me 0-12 sorry 2000s, BUT I was 12 I think when the HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL MOVIES CAME OUT: I straight away was hooked: in my first year of high school and thankfully wasnt embarrassed just happy, then in S2 I got the merchandise it was my school bag because I needed the largest I could find and that was the one I found and it came with a pencil case: I also needed the biggest I could find and I found it, I also got the jumper and wore it at least 2 times a week, even wore it in my dance show photos when I was 14 (the official studio ones didnt arrive in time, days before the show: so I picked my fav jumper: well it was a zippie): I have tons more merchandise and have kept it all, as I still love the movies: I got my first nickname half way through S1: HSMGIRL, I also got pinkie and trouble in S2, but it HSMGIRL was my main nickname till I moved schools after S4 (also only the yr after the 2000s, never got a nickname at my second high school If I had to pick a movie from the list for 0-12 (the series still was out till my mid teens) of course all Harry Potter movies: that was when I was younger probably Harry Potteras I was a teen when wizards and Hannah Montana came outstill a child: just two completely different times in everyones life obviouslyhavent seen all but the others yes had amazing times in my childhood

MsMojo, are we talkin about tweenagers/ teenagers or CHILDhood?
While I do love a lot of these movies, not one of them is what I would consider something I would have watched at 7 or 8.
Now if we're looking at 2000 childhood movies, you're going to have to dig a little bit because you don't have Disney at its finest.
You could go with Bridge to Terabithia, Lilo and Stitch, Holes, Because of Winn-Dixie, if we're going for Pixar I think Monster's Inc or Cars (again child) and Spirited Away on top.

Thank you for the update, MsMojo! Wow, I really enjoyed watching this video! The list of movies was well-curated and included some of my personal favorites. I appreciated the diversity of genres. The host's commentary was engaging and informative, and I found myself nodding along with their opinions. The video was well-produced and visually appealing, with nice use of clips and graphics.

The _Highschool Musical_ trilogy, especially the first one is such a nostalgia trip. Zac Efron's amazing in this, Sharpay is one of the few meangirl characters I actually like, and I can't tell you how many times Status Quo has gotten stuck in my head. I even sang it in a stage version in high school.

Im starting to not like these lost more and more especially since I was born in 2004 and 3 of these movies Ive seen 1-3 times in my life and nobody knows what Im talking about. Twilight and Spy Kids should have actually been on the list and The Princess Diaries we all watched that as kids.

Harry Potter definitely my favorite. Reading the books got me so excited for the movies. Harry, Ron and Hermoine's friendship was something. Also I wanted to say this about Draco Malfoy, considering his messed up family and how he was raised, he could have turned out a lot worse

I have that one schoolmate who was so obsessed with High School Musical that he incorporated it on our theater variety project in high school.
But yeah, 2000's movies were awesome and it's still is today. I'd rather rewatch 2000's movies all over again

I loved all the movies in your list. Another movie I remember distinctly was The Accepted. It wasnt critically acclaimed or anything but I had found the concept really interesting because I was towards the end of high school and was thinking of colleges

High School Musical will always be my favourite - I love all of them, but the second movie was really something. Love Hannah Montana, always. Harry Potter franchise really did define my life so much changed during those years in my life.

I really miss the 2000's, yet it's only been 14 years since they ended. Ella Enchanted, School of Rock, High School Musical and Freaky Friday were some of my favourite films back in the day.

I did not watch Mamma Mia, the Notebook, the Devil Wears Prada, 500 Days of Summer, Bridget Jones's Diary, or Mean Girls when I was a kid. By the way, I was a kid throughout the 2000s.

A little sad but not surprised LOTR isnt on this list. Absolutely the best fantasy movie of all time. It definitely defined my childhood and helped me explore my imagination.

I'd also give a shoutout to the Sam Raimi Spider-Man Trilogy, and the Star Wars Prequels (except for Phantom Menace which was released in 1999, though I still love it.

On the one hand, Im sooo glad that Twilight is NOT #1 on this list, but I think some of us deserve an explanation as to why this movie defined our childhood.

Seriously, people? The Twilight franchise in the Honorable Mentions when the entire country was divided between Team Edward and Team Jacob? Give me a break. KDM

School of Rock is one of the movies that inspired me to be a musician. As an adult I relate to Dewey a lot more, especially since I teach kids part-time.
