Not since Monty Python and the Holy Grail has a bunny been THIS threatening. Er, General Woundwort would like a word.
Still, Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit is a delightful and underrated film.
I did like the list for the most part, but I can't help thinking Ichabod and Mr. Toad and It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown should have been in the top ten rather than as honorable mentions. I would have bumped Monster House (which I find to be an ugly-looking film, with the trio of kids being Harry Potter knockoffs) off the list to make room for Ichabod (which looks gorgeous and has a wonderful soundtrack.

Speaking purely for myself. going all the way back to the original Scooby do on Zombie Island. and the next 3 films that followed. Scooby doo and the alien invaders, Scooby doo and the witch's ghost and Scooby Doo meets the loch ness monster. those were utterly FABULOUSLY magnificent takes on the Scooby franchise because they BROKE the mold of the traditional bad guy in a halloween costume / mechanical fake monster and introduced REAL beasties. in particular the first film of Zombie Island.
THOSE WERE, in my little opinion the absolute BEST of the first full movies since all the other series came out beforehand.

DANM it proud with in #2 place of The Batman the lonh Halloween was listed, plus to mention since my childhood watching Scooby Doe's all film franchise stories goes with curiosity of mystery, the terror low budget and the comedy. Not only to watch two distance franchises that we now a days her and ever love The Addams Family and Hotel Transylvania could get a new franchise connection crossover!

I watch It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown every year, and this year is the 30 year Anniversary of the theater release of The Nightmare Before Christmas!
I like Caroline and The Corpse Bride, but I enjoy them all year round, just for Halloween.
The animated The Addams Family movie is so good deserves a higher spot than just an honorable mention!

Honorable Mentions:
Frankenweenie
-A throwback to the classic era horror movies, only instead of bringing a monster to life, it's a dog.
Wendell and Wild
-The most recent of director Henry Selick's work (as of the time I'm writing this, this Netflix movie also brings Jordan Peele on board for the ride.

I devoured the book the Halloween Tree as a kid; glad the movie made the list. I would love to see this Bradbury classic re-made as an new animated feature today. One that could have been a honourable mention is Disneys Coco - who knew the Day of the Dead could be so charming and fun?

Halloween Tree is truly a forgotten treasure!
Not only is it an amazing story, but it also stars the late great Leonard Nimoy as the mysterious and somewhat enigmatic Carapace Clavicle Moundshroud. but for simplicity, you can just call him Mr. Moundshroud

The only movie of the top that I like to watch during Halloween is 'Scooby Doo: The Island of the Zombies'. The live actions movies that I like to watch are 'Ghost Rider', 'Dark Shadows', 'Van Helsing' and the 2 'Scooby Doo' live action movies.
reply

I don't know if anyone's heard of this Scooby Doo movie, but I watched this one called Scooby Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf where Shaggy turns into a werewolf and Dracula forces him to compete in the Monster Road Race.

My favorite fun and good Halloween movie are:
The nightmare before Christmas, all Hotel Transylvania movies, scooby-doo and the godliness king (original movie, Corpse bride, Scary godmother, Monster high ghouls rule

9: 10 slight correction - the new home is in oregon, coraline moving from michigan (that bit when wybie asks if coraline is from somewhere warm and barren and coraline explains they are from michigan)

The thing I've noticed about Tim Burton's ghosts and monsters is they have a kind of wink and a nod aspect to them. They're weird and creepy but they're also relatable and lovable as well.
reply

It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown should be on this list for sure! That is a classic! And the Hotel Transylvania movies should be on this list too, and Frankenweenie is a good one too!
reply

I'd also like to add in a couple of old school choices:
Halloween Is Grinch Night
Witches' Night Out by Nelvana Studios
and Will Vinton's Claymation Comedy of Horrors.

reply

The bulk of this list is a travesty. How on Earth does the Great Pumpkin get an honorable mention? Where is Frankenweenie? Where was Coco? Giving Ichabod an honorable mention. DUDE
reply

Corpse Bride, Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline are some
of the best stock motion animated movies along with Kubo and the
Two Strings and Giuremo do Toro's Pinocohio.

reply

Glad to see The Halloween Tree made the list. Its a great movie that I wish more people knew about. Without regular broadcast showings, its sort of getting lost to time.
reply

There are some Scooby-Doo movies that are better to ignore, looking at you Return to Zombie Island. Which is probably a nice surprise as no one wants to look at you.
reply

Mad Monster Party is a go-to for me. Sad its so frequently forgotten. Boo to You, Too, Winnie the Pooh and Garfields Halloween Adventure, too.
reply

Mickey's House Of Villains is also quite enjoyable to watch during Halloween, especially if you're someone who is a huge fan of House Of Mouse.
reply

theres 2 headless horseman theres ichabod then theres stuart piddle from the long face a story from the gnaughty gnomes of no by jamie rix

Another animated film I always liked to watch when I was younger was scary godmother. It was weird but I still love every minute of it.
reply

I also like Batman, the long Halloween its so amazing how all the villains join up in order to create their own version of the holiday
reply

Charlie Brown's, The Great Pumpkin I never miss it.
And The Nightmare before Christmas is a favorite for October 31 and Christmas!

reply

Coraline's new home is in Oregon, not Michigan. Home of banana slugs (remember Wybie and Slugzilla) and Laika themselves
reply

Ive seen everything but Mad Gid abd they're all brilliant. I loved the Halloween Tree, it has such a cool story.
reply

This is one of those lists where you have no doubt in your mind which title is going to take the top spot.
reply

Im surprised Beetlejuice, Casper, or Edward Scissorhands was not on the list. Those are great movies I love.
reply

I also like this movie I like how Wallace turn into a bunny I mean who would be scared of a cute giant bunny
reply

I can recommend Batman: The Doom that Came to Gotham. It's Batman meets Lovecraft in a steampunk universe.
