we’re counting down our picks for the sweetest and most wholesome moments from the Young Sheldon cast that brought tears to our eyes. Our countdown includes a trip to Pasadena, Missy hugs Mary, twin telepathy, and more! Which Young Sheldon moment made YOU shed a few happy tears

That conversation that Mee Maw had with Missy about her birth stands as one of the most surprising moments ever on the show.
2: 26 Of course Sheldon didn't hear her. There was no Twin telepathy. George heard her and he heard the other women in the house saying they wanted Sheldon home, so he got him. Missy was fast asleep when they got home, so she didn't see how it all happened. Because of that and her lack of intelligence, she assumed that Sheldon heard her.
Sheldon holding his dad's hand was awesome.
Yeah, Sheldon didn't really understand his dad when he was a child. In fairness, most of us don't understand our parents when we are children. Sheldon's growth is admirable.
The airplane moment should have been higher on the list. That was Lance Barber's favorite moment.
George teaching Missy how to throw a baseball was a nice moment. until she ruined the moment a couple of times at the end of the episode.
Sheldon believing in mom is iconic in the Pilot and the finale is iconic.
Georgie and Mandy naming their daughter was a great moment.
Sheldon's graduation speech is one of my favorite episodes of all time.
Missy hugging Sheldon should be on here instead of the telepathy moment
Mary hugging Missy disproves Missy's theory that her mom didn't care about her.
Mary hugging George was a good one.
I find it silly that Georgie hung up Missy's assignment on his own wall instead of letting her hang it up on hers, but she was okay with it. Maybe because Sheldon was still living in her room and she didn't want him to see it because he would have made her feel worse, so she actually wanted it on Georgie's wall.
Veronica dropped the ball. She learned that when you punch a boy and then expecting him to be your boyfriend isn't the smartest move. I wasn't heartwarmed by anything Georgie did for her.
I think we all knew what #1 was going to be. No arguments from any of us, either.

Young Sheldon is, for me at least, a better show than TBBT.
When I heard there will be a spin-off/prequel about Sheldon's childhood I was skeptical, very, very skeptical. I believed that it would be poorly made to capitalize on fans love for the og series.
Boy, am I glad that I was so wrong.
The family, acting, writing is superb. No bad characters here, just people with flaws seen from eyes of a young, intelligent but not great on social behaviour kid. And Jim Parsons's narration only adds flavour to it.
My cry happy moment was when Sheldon sat alone listening to Nobel Prize ceremony and camera showed younger versions of TBBT cast.
Hope that Georgie and Mandy show will be good.

Doing all of these segments made me watch the show. Two spoilers: one flash back, one flash Forward: seeing the flash forward to Sheldon's future friends and wife, was super wholesome, no wonder it was #1. This also wasn't much of a happy cry, but when they flashed back to the Red Lobster scene during the Series finale, I SOBBED so much. Great job, Phoebe!

In the part whare Sheldon removed his mitten he mentioned that he didn’t touch Georgie’s hand until 2006 where they shook hands and that was the last time they talk to each other for a while, which was right before the Big Bang theory first started, and they didn’t talk until the wedding episode

Georgie had the best character development. He transitioned from being a high school dropout, to being a committed family man and successful businessman. In the finale, he seamlessly steps into being the Man of the House, showing how becoming a father and George's untimely passing matured him.

Missy has really grown on me as a character
Initially falling into the cliche sassy younger sibling category for me
I really enjoy how overtime, she began to be more open to going to her brother Sheldon for advice

George being a loving man, Mangie naming their kid after Meemaw, & Mary hugging Missy is emotional in a good way. But I can see why the number #1 happy cry moment would be seeing the kid versions of TBBT cast.

I love how gleeful Missy was at seeing Sheldon back in his bed, and didn't hesitate to hug him. Though the twins have little in common, it makes the moments where they openly show affection all the more impactful.

Interestingly, the scenes of grown-up Sheldon in the last episode show that today's Jim Parsons looks like first season's Lance Barber enough as to they seeming related.
Curious feat of right casting.

Young Sheldon is one of those rare spinoffs that can match or exceed the show that it spun off from in memorable moment and characters. I'm going to miss it.
