The positive take presented in this video of Islands is nice, but I always thought it had sort of a somber tone and message to it, especially when you take the music video into account. I've been found out, so now I will never explore evokes to me that the person will now never explore the world for another lover. The exploration was part of the thrill, and now that's gone with being in a committed relationship. As you watch the music video, the dancers lose their excitement and the colours are drained showing the decline of excitement in the relationship.
