Im perfectly okay with this list my only beef with it is that Anne Boleyn wasnt represented. She has been portrayed by so many many actresses and yet no single Anne Boleyn here
Anyway many years after this list was made.
what did you all guys think of?
Margot Robbie as Elizabeth I, Soairse Ronan as Mary Queen of Scots and Charlotte Hope as Catherine of Aragon?
I think the three actresses were really good in their respective parts in their own film/Tv show. I wished Margot Robbie had a little more time to shine but she was fantastic

some things to nitpick:
-Marie Antoinette filmed at Palais Garnier (Paris Opera House! when that thing wouldn't even exist until Napoleon III (Second Empire)
-Maria Antonia wasn't that young when she was sent off to France as the _dauphine_; at most she would be considered pre-pubescent in modern standards
-correct pronunciation for Marie Antoinette is Ma-RI ANG-twa-net
-don't call her Princess Diana as she's not qualified to be called as such (princess as the daughter of the reigning monarch)

1998's Elizabeth is my absolute favorite royal movie, Blanchett portrayed her very well; I thought Claire Foy was amazing as Queen Elizabeth II. Sadly, I'm having some difficulty with S3 of The Crown, I miss Foy. I really liked Mirren as Queen Elizabeth. Why couldn't they digitally age Foy Everyone in The Tudors & Mary, Queen of Scotts Series were also portrayed amazingly well.

Yeah, the Shakespeare movie that introduced me to Prof Lockhart was a Much Ado About Nothing, and him and Emma Thompson are fire in that movie. Also, awwww, baby faced Kate Beckinsale.
And tbh I thought L Olivier was black for a long time because Id only watched Othello with him in it and didnt realize black face existed. Wow. I was so blissfully ignorant. Lol.

CATE BLANCHETT as Queen Elizabeth I of England
Oscars nominations:
1999 Best Actress Nomination (Elizabeth, 1998)
2008 Best Actress Nomination (Elizabeth: The Golden Age, 2007)
.
First female actor to receive a second oscar nomination for a same role in a sequel.
So This Top picks are accurate, also Emily Blunt's Queen Victoria Performance.

How could you make a list like this without including Dame Judy Dench in even the honourable mentions? Mrs. Brown was the greatest portrayal of Queen Victoria that Ive ever seen, and Shakespeare In Love won an Oscar for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth I. Dame Judy Dench should have been high on this list for one of those performances, if not both.

How could you miss Robert Shaw as Henry VII in A Man for All Seasons? When he makes his entrance, with the sun illuminating him, at Sir Thomas Moore house, it is the essence of royalty. He goes on to enact a performance of both charm and deviousness. If Henry VII was not like that, he should have been.

Really? No mention of the fact that Elizabeth Taylor playing a Balkan Greek Queen of Egypt is, just as the King of Siam really cringey in retrospect? Just put some eyeliner on her. there!
Also Tudors deserves a mention. And the show Victoria is miles better then the movie.

Keith Michel in the BBC's THE SIX WIVES OF HENRY VIII and Dame Glenda Jackson in ELIZABETH R. While Cate Blanchett is a worthy challenger to Jackson, Jonathan Rys Myers can't hold a candle to Michel. I would also add Sian Phillips as Livia in I, CLAUDIUS.

Taylor in Cleopatra was just awful. Everything was wrong about it and she wasnt a queen. She was a pharaoh. How is it possible that every video you make is badly researched and full of wrong facts? Why cant you get it right?

A white man playing the King of Siam is a travesty, while inserting people of color versions of white characters is very progressive and compulsory for every movie or show of recent times. Yeah that makes sense.

That shocked me that Brener was a white man in the king and I. Even though it was white washed he did such a spectacularly amazing job in the movie for that role!

Worth checking out is Helena Bonham Carter as Lady Jane Gray in 1986's Lady Jane, about Queen Jane who ruled for 15 days before Queen Elizabeth I.

You made a major inaccuracy at 7: 37 it should be British history not English history, King George VI was King of Britain not England.

You didn't even mentioned Peter the Great, 1986. That was probably one of best movies about Royalty ever.
