Oh god was that a thing? Yes that makeup trend was a thing and yes, most of us have probably been victim of the trend. Weve included the ever popular bronze overload, the weird bubble nail trend, the over the top contour and the terrible lip liner mismatch trend!

Dishonorable mentions: White lead powder (deadly, Cleopatra eyeliner(overdone and only a select amount of people can pull it off, those crazy eyeshadow looks that were from the 80's (Like don't get me wrong, they are artistic, but not really practical nor can the average person pull it off well) and weird colored lipstick (blue, green, yellow, orange, purple, grey, and I would say brown but that's both a personal preference and/or it depends on the individual's skin tone)

Here's an oldie but goodie. cheeto orange tanning spray. any self tanner, honestly. look at President trump. umpa lump looking. another is horrible hair cuts or color. jerry curls with activator overload. stringy greasy hair. makeup overload. unflattering color combinations. colors unflattering to one's complexion. other colors. the outfit. improper blending. beet red racing stripe blush. spider lashes. fragrance on top of body odor. too much fragrance.

MsMOJO: You chose scenes from Ms. Lange's Dramatic Contouring for Special Nights, that look strange because she hasn't blended everything together. Once she has, no lines of contour are visible. Congrats on using the oldest & most despised editing trick in the book.

I am so so glad that I have great skin! I never wanted to look like a mannequin anyway and that's how most of you who are doing contour and highlight and looking for flawless skin are doing. I have to see your faces move to believe that they will.
reply

You know what's worse than thin eyebrows? Women that look like they have caterpillars on their faces. unfortunately. MOST beauty gurus today. Why do they think that looks GOOD? Also, don't forget over highlighting. goes with the over contour.
reply

Idk, it just depends on whether you can pull I off. Thin brows were good on Gwen stef and Drew Barrymore. Dark outlined lips were cool on 90s singers. If you can do it well and rock it, good for you.

God, I hate mismatched lip liner! It looks hideous! I, actually, don't like lip liner, period. I've never felt the need to use it. I like to keep my makeup looks very simple, most of the time.
reply

oh the aftermath of thin eyebrows i have a few friends who never recovered from the constant tweezing for the perfect pamela anderson look they now collectively have 12 hairs SERIOUSLY
reply

I was a bit young for the pencil eyebrow (thank goodness. I remember a lot of girls having them though, some of them shaved their brows off and drew them back on. Not a good look.
reply

I like thinner brows they look alright in me I'm not talking about overly thin brows I dont like overly thick brows I like to stay right in between like a sane person would lol
reply

As an old timer who grew up with the Brooke Shields bushy eyebrow trend of the 80s, I sat in horror waiting for the pencil thin eyebrow craze to pass. Thank God it has.
reply

This is shit. Mismatched lip-liner can be beautiful if done carefully and so can over-lining your lips. Case in point: Marilyn Monroe did this. Study how carefully she did it.

This reminds me of something I was always curious about. My Korean grandmother has blue 'eyebrows' tattooed on. I wonder what it looked like when she was younger.

With most of these trends the problem is simply going overboard but bubble nails are something I don't get at all They literally look like you got heart disease.
reply

Two that are still going on and would fit perfectly on this list: stained lips and those ridiculous amounts of lighter-than-your-tone concealer under the eye.
reply

Thin eyebrows and lip liner darker than lipstick was so 90's. I skip that trend. Too much concealer and contouring is for beginners. Never saw bubble nails.
reply

I don't see the point of shaving or waxing your eyebrows and then redrawing them back on, Why can't women just fill in their natural eyebrows?
reply

Over lining the lips has always been a going on. It creates a fuller lip effect but it has been taken to extremes in recent years and not in a good way.
reply

The worst is the one where people draw fake eyebrows in thick dark lines on their foreheard or pretty much anywhere the brow isn't. They look terrible.
reply

Sometimes darker liners are the only way people of color can rock certain shades.
When you blend it the right way it looks bomb.

reply

I only use contouring and highlighting when I am in a show or when I cosplay. I really don't find it necessary for a daily basis
reply

Am i the only one who's scared of make-up, ? I don't hate it but I just can't seem to do it right
