I have both this and phantom pain. get phantom pain. this game is so lazy and half ass. this is an open world Rage, without the combat creativity. you basically do the dame thing over and over and over for 30+ hours. the boss fights are pathetic. the enemies are defenceless (your car vs unarmed guys all game basically. plus you get a shotgun. once you level up the first stronghold you dont even have to do the second stronghold because the busy work lvls you up enough the take down the jaw. get phantom pain.

So yeah, tried playing it today and was just bored. Game might be good but I was just completely turned off by how tedious everything is. Flying the air balloons is tedious, getting the scrap, water and fuel is tedious, destroying fuel tanks, scarecrows, pumps is tedious, it all just felt like such a grind. It didn't feel like an open world, it just felt like a bunch of repetitive objectives scattered everywhere whose only purpose is to get you closer to the next Skinner box cathartic upgrade.

thinking of getting this with my ps4 in a few days, the wasteland looks dull (understandably, it IS a wasteland, I've seen the movies, but the gameplay looks fun. I've seen reviews, I really don't care about them, just wanting honest opinions of people that have bought and played it. anything you'd recommend over this? I've got MGSTPP and Far Cry 4, and I plan on getting GTA for it, so rule those out

05: 42 -there's some scrap right there. it's everywhere- 07: 54 -scrap an resources are not plentifull- solid interview. also i'm almost through the game and i see plenty of refferences to both the Fury Road and Road Warrior so i think cooperation with George Miller must have been constant througout making of the game, despite what the person in the video says.

This is a great wasteland! - So well designed, and with tons of variation as you drive through its huge desolate spaces.
(half the world is the old-world sea bed - half is above where sea level used to be, with old roads / structures etc)

Everyone is asking if they should buy mad max or TPP. Well it is easy. TPP if you have metal gear knowledge. Like the story is way to complex and you will probably get lost at TPP. MadMax if you liked Arkham Knight.

About 70h in TPP, so I wanted something else to play. Bought this game for 14-. All maxed 4K with 108- picture, stable 60 fps, driving around and killing peeps. can't complain, fun game, at least for that price.

They should allow us to harpoon scrap that populates from scarecrows and snipers. There's been a few times where the scrap ended up on the roof of a structure where Max couldn't reach. :(

Great interview, but i think it's a bit annoying how much the water got compared to dark souls, as if a healing potion that takes time to drink and refills hp is a dark souls invention.

So why it looks like a graphical modded Flatout? The vehicle physics seems to be as simple as the graphics. But. why? I'd have a game as simply as Mafia II in the universe of Mad Max 1.

the car handling is horrible, too cinematic, no control of the vehicles weight. no feel to the car like all ubisoft games. but good game.
