I will get it most likely because I just love the prime series and is been so long, but I will be sad when this game sells horribly because of simple design choices that displeased the fans, really -Simple- choices, Retro studio would have back off right away after seeing those horrible character designs really.\r\n

Before you write your thinkpiece about entitled gamers attacking a perfectly good game just because it doesn't have their precious Samus: It's not a perfectly good game. It's a bad game, with or without the Metroid name on it. And it's coming from a publisher, a developer, a series known for very good games, which makes people worried about future Metroid titles and Nintendo as a whole. Surely you would like to play good games too?

certainly horrible. doesn't matter if it's called Metroid or ChibiDefence Force, it looks amateur, generic and boring.
if you wanted to do an FPS, Nintendo, please, check Rare's GoldenEye or Perfect Dark, made with YOUR money. If you wanted to recover Metroid IP for 3DS, please, you should have done something like Super Metroid. But this looks just as shitty as Other M.

The hell is this garbage? It looks like a free mobile game! But one with microtransactions. Metroid is about exploration, puzzles, action, fear, etc. It had amazing atmosphere with cool sci fi visuals and music. This is about. Uh. Its just cheap everything, boring everything. AGH! I saw Metroid in the title and got excited but this doesn't even deserve to be shat on by a real Metroid game.

I just played Blast Ball and enjoyed it for the most part and played the main training. I legitimately enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to this game; I should note that while i'm a huge Metroid fan and this isnt technically 'Metroid' I am gonna buy this. 'If a game is fun to me, I'm gonna play it. '

Two things are bothering me. 1- scale, the characters are actually suits that are two times taller than an average human, making the space pirates in the trailer to BIG because they are the same size as the suits, wich they shouldn't be. 2-Catapults, really. who needs catapults to blow up a spaceship?

I love the OST actually, makes me want to hear this playing but not this game lol. Some mechanics of the gameplay look kinda interesting too, maybe this game could be a good surprise finally, but I still really don't like the look of the mechas. They look banal and too stubby, this is not Metroid

I don't get it. This game looks like a fun cooperative adventure game with puzzles and obstacles that can only be overcame by communication and teamwork skills. No one complained about it when they did the EXACT same thing with zelda in four swords and triforce heroes.

Who wants a shooter on a handheld? The 3ds is a perfect platform for a 2d side scrolling metroid, look at what steamworld heist has done as far as art direction. Instead we're getting a game that looks terrible and will have my hands cramping in 5 mins. Go Ninty!
