Here's a first look at gameplay from Everything, an upcoming title from David OReilly where you can play as literally everything in the game world: animals, cars, islands, skyscrapers, planets and more-- coming exclusively to the PlayStation 4 at some point in the future. (Music - Ben Lucas Boysen, from the album Gravity)

idk why people have problems with this and the guys last game, mountain. yeah they aren't these games packed full of objectives or different things to do but they don't have to be. these are experiments and really interesting and cool ones at that. the dude is an artist and he's trying to expand what we think a game should be. he's questioning it and I think that's necessary. you can bring up a lot of questions involving his games and I think that's really beautiful.

If you look at this and don't like it because it doesn't seem to have an objective or range of mechanics etc, that's cool and a justified opinion, but it also doesn't mean that it's useless and no one else could ever enjoy it. True, some may not see value in games like these, but I don't see value in just commenting -this looks boring- like. no one's forcing you to like it or put money towards it.

I'll probably end up getting this just for the detail alone, but I hope it doesn't play like how Everybody's Gone To The Rapture did: a boring, uninspired walking simulator with an empty, dead world and nothing but a decaying shoe string holding everything together. visual marvels can't become a selling point, there's got to be something to fill the void if you remove a story or directive.

A lot of these people commenting don't seem to understand David OReilly's style and point he's trying to demonstrate. Watch his other videos - The Horse Raised by Spheres, The External World, and Please Say Something, and I think you'll have a newfound appreciation for the artist.

Got this last night. Interesting game with no plot other than to understand everything is everything. However after about an hour I got major motion sickness and had to lay down for a while. Not sure if it was because of the spinning lions or I got too into it.

This is ambitious but whats the goal? Just sandbox? Wouldnt it be more fun to explore the possibilities through doing quests in each form? Like the deers collecting grass, the polymers bonding, the planet orbiting the sun. Idk

Why can't animals run properly? I would love to run around and hunt as a wolf, watch the sun set and the moon rise each day. But they're rolling around like stones. I really love the idea but the execution is a little awkward.

I think people are missing the point, and that is that the point of the game is to answer the question, -what is the point? - The intellectual rigor of answering this question is illuminating unto itself.

I'm not gonna lie. This seems kinda. boring. I thought it would be more realistic and there is literally nothing to do it looks like. At least in no mans sky you can buy ships and tools and mine.

I would be more impressed if the things you -played- with actually behaved as they normally do. As in the frog jumping instead of being stiff ect. Seems like a really boring game imo.

Just make a new Katamari Damacy. Why group up things that are the same when you can start with an ant and eventually the whole solar system, all in a nice neat ball.

Once had an idea like this, called Possession. like u were a ghost/spirit thing and could play as anyone, including the final boss. diff chara= diff objectiv

the moment I saw those road lights started running i knew this gonna be suck. I mean they can just tell us one sentence: -the world is large. - Done.
reply

you know what would be great? if you could play in a PC.
a game called Everything is rightfully ironic released exclusively on PS4.

When you have too many assets but don't have an idea or creativity to create a game.
This is one of the most cheaply made games.

I thought this looked fun but I ended up returning it because after 10 minutes I realized all I was doing was walking around.
reply

Half of the people liking the game just for the concept or -Evolution- are not going to play it because it's so boring.
reply

can you go to anywhere on earth and has its own real life scale New York and everything on this planet?
reply

When you want to play this as a drunk game, but ended up crying and praising the Universe in the corner.
