Chronos Oculus Rift Gameplay

Third-person adventure game Chronos, an Oculus Rift launch title, plays a bit like Dark Souls with a Resident Evil-style camera Looks cool, apart from the one GUI element of the arrow above the enemy. If they were going to have that kind of obvious -gamey- visual element in there, I think they could have came up with something a bit better than a big white downward arrow. It totally jars with everything else visually in the game, and destroys the suspension of disbelief. The rest of the game looks good though. But, its all the little things that can make the difference between good and great imo.\r\n

Jordon Wu - Redundancy yes, if playing on flat screen and the VR being left out, it would play like a 'Dark Souls III' like game. This is a VR game with a very unique feature, you really have to experience the extra dimension, to understand and enjoy it.

The Gargoyles made of stone totally freaked me out! I mean scared the crap out of me! They move when your not looking at them. You can hear them getting closer behind you, you turn around and there frozen. Its just creepy! I love this game!

Looks a bit -meh- graphics wise, though I understand they have to tone it down in order to keep a steady 90 fps. Hopefully people with better graphics cards than a 970 will be able to get some more shadows and other goodies going.

so i have to hurt my neck instead of having an easy camera system that follows the action but if i hold down a button i can look at the environment myself? this is not virtual reality lol. this is retarded

As a huge fan of Remnant, i was really looking forward to this, but i doubt i'll end up playing it because of the VR crap being crammed into it for no reason. Could it not have been a traditional camera? -

Smart move to make Chronos into an actual game. Sure its interesting they tired different perspective but it looks so funky. Before the Ashes was easy and didn't feel janky.

VR live spectating should be a thing with games like this. Looks like fixed camera positions have a chance to make a comeback.
