If you want EZ mode: Phase 1, keep your distance, wait for him to leap at you, before he comes crashing down roll behind him, get a few hits in. Rinse, repeat until 2nd phase. As 2nd phase is beginning, get as many hits in as you can before the claw does its sweep. At this point, the fight is the same, if not easier. Keep your distance, learn his jump animation, roll behind, get a few hits in. Even so, if you stay on his backside he will have a hard time hitting you.

I want to add two more things:
1. In the first phase, when he swings horizontally, you can parry with shield and then trust attack- this is somewhat hard, but if you succeed in three times, half of his hp will go.
2. In the second form, keep the distance and wait until he jumps, dodge and attack quickly. If you scared.

Actually staying next to the boss was the key for me instead of keeping distance. in the first phase you can pretty dodge every attack of him. and in the second one staying far away makes you attackable for this Black thingy

Ludex was not easy for just starting out. After 9-10x attempts using the Assassin I finally killed him. Ludex reminded me of the Dragon-knight, just with faster reflexes.

I've died 14 times already to this asshole and I'll probably die even more. Heck, how am I gonna beat other bosses if I can't even beat this one.

I beat this boss first try without a guide. I assumed this was a good start and I'd have it easy this game. Nope. Not at all.
