Did you ever notice that the fuzzy nightmares in Bloodborne look exactly like muppets. It's a funny coincidence. or is it? Basically, Bloodborne monsters are scary muppets and Pat Gill is going to tell you why

This is so weird to watch Pat's videos, vs Brian I mean, Pat's are more methodical, laid out, still chaotic in meaning, but structured, this contrasts the hysteria and insanity of Brian's videos, where everything is chaotic, which I guess makes sense, Brian's an eldritch abomination in human form and Pat's a law student, at least at the time of the sibling dance
so basically, Patrick has the raw chaos of repressed insanity (repressed because law student, you can't be zany and wacky in a court of law, vs Brain who's just insane 100% of the time in videos at least
Patrick (due to law studies, makes such good points and SOUNDS convincing, to the point where his ludicrous conclusions sound reasonable (Truck Nuts, just a thought, anyways, good video

Well I dunno about them making a Soulsborne puppet show but, they did have some involvement with Bloodborne, albeit very loosely, supposedly. Back in the early 00s, there was a movie put out in France called Brotherhood of the Wolf, and it was thought to be a very big influence on Bloodborne with the weapons, and costumes, and in that movie there is a huge four legged monster that the heroes are hunting down and it was put together by the Jim Henson Creature Shop. So they may have even played a hand in influencing Bloodborne at some point. Just putting it out there

I thought it was about how Bloodborne and Muppets are both essentially about a world where people are just barely aware that something is wrong. They aren't really in control of themselves at all. All they have to do is look a little bit in the wrong direction and they'll see it--! The hands and levers that dictate their lives! What lives? They don't have any lives; they're puppets!
So they -don't- look. They don't turn their eyes towards the man whose hand is in their back, and when they do, they tell themselves they see nothing.

How can. How can a segment that is just cut into the first two minutes of a six minute video be a 'secret segment'? Is that said expecting that everyone will skip to the third minute just before it or is it just a Bloodborn joke without any deeper meaning?
But it's Polygon.
So why do people skip the second minute in their videos?

As soon as Bloodborne gets a PC port (as is only just, someone needs to mod in an enemy database system that are the notes of another hunter named Patrick. He doesn't tell you lore or tactics, he just writes about his Bloodbuds. And it's implied Elieen had to put him down when he got too close to them.

Yk, I see why Brian mentioned Polygon videos making him feel better in his interview video - I hadn't seen much Polygon outside of BDG videos before this one, but I totally get why he fits in so well - Pat is the same energy, with a different style

God i love this video so much. Like every single beat of it is clever and funny. It's gotten to the point where i mouth the words along with Pat. Like i even just enjoy how he says the word dubious lol. Perfect perfect video, just flawless

I love the very subtle implication that Pat Gill himself is going to ambush the next annual Jim Henson memorial wilderness retreat and muppet orgy and personally see to their tragic but inevitable downfall. poetic.

I think the henson workshop went bloodborne when they worked on that addams-esque cooking decoration show on Netflix, the one with the werewolf and the reanimated raccoon with a fork for a hand

This got me to finally decide to play Bloodborne. I was only ever mildly curious before, but now I-m in.
I need to become one with the carrion crows.

reply

I haven't played Bloodborne, and I was never a Muppets fan, but I have watched this video approximately fifteen times and counting. It's a good video.
reply

Ah yes. Two properties that relate to my nightmares. One of them is a game mechanic, the other has haunted me while I sleep for the past 25 years.
reply

I just wanted to tell whoever made the thumbnail for this video that Bloodborne Big Bird Crow will forever haunt me and I will never forgive you.

I know I'm way late but this is driving me crazy; what's that song in the beginning? I know I've heard it somewhere and it's driving me mad.

I watched this video before and after (watching Luke from Outside Xtra) completed Bloodborne and it is like two different videos, good shit

The ghost of Christmas past in The Muppet Christmas Carol is genuinely one of my favorite pieces of special effects of all time.

Listen I-m gonna say it. This is the best video polygon has ever produced. Sorry lads but yall nailed it back in 2019
reply

I love those videos that make extraordinary claims about video games and then just back them up with extraordinary evidence
reply

wait i thought this was BDG but as it turns out pat is just as crackhead
also 2020 boobborn content? sign me the hell up

reply

I sure hope somebody has told Pat about the friendly carrion crow in Hemwick Charnel Lane. Treat small gent with care.
reply

Everything in this video breathed life into me but Brian-s giggle at the end filled me with vigor and determination
reply

This sounds like someone plotting the murders of the muppets trying (and succeeding) to justify it to themselves.
reply

nah too cold & calculated in your scenery man; like you just came out of Bloodborne before making that episode
reply

yk i saw this unhinged title and i was CONVINCED it was a bdg video but i cannot say i was disappointed to see pat lol
reply

Polygon: I came for BDG, but them fell equally in love with Patrick. Pay him a lot of money and deliver headpats.
reply

Scared me because I had Dvorak New World Symphony open in another tab and i had just listened to it.
reply

Patrick-s BloodBuds is a wonderful segment and i want Hoodie Patrick to introduce all the secret segments
reply

I was really not expecting this to be as well thought out as it is with an actual valid point to make.
