Hey Simone, I really appreciate this video. I'm moving into a (slightly) bigger room in my apartment and I needed to figure out how to arrange it so I could do my online schooling without always having my bed showing up on webcam as well as making the room function for me. I remembered this video's advice about breaking rooms into zones, and kept it in mind when designing so now I have a sleeping zone, a reading zone, a work zone, a getting ready zone, and even some open space in the middle for spreading projects out or exercising. I'm really happy with how it's turning out and I just wanted to thank you and Diana for the advice.

I have officially decided that I am going to go into my animal crossing house and completely clean out each and every room (except for my hello kitty bedroom, that one's fine the way it is) then redecorate. I think the reason I've been struggling to make my home nice is because you add the rooms one at a time so they weren't decorated with the whole house in mind, just that specific room. I just hope I don't completely ruin my house so I'm also taking pictures of each room so I can fix it if things don't go well. Wish me luck lol

This video is hyper validating me bcs irl i suck at interior design, but in the game i did intuit making zones in a room and using big carpets to reinforce them so i feel like a genius now.
Also loved how Simone's room came together in the end of the video! Im glad the interior designer encouraged Simone to use the jungle wallpaper bcs its too beautiful not to be used! And it rly helped bring the entire room together

It's really jarring to hear them talk about clutter just assuming that it's a bad thing, when I (and many of the ACNL bloggers I used to follow) have always adored more cluttered AC room designs. I genuinely don't understand why clutter would be a negative thing in a game world, or what value there is in making the room feel bigger.

I don't agree with most of what Anna has to say about her design school ideas. Of course you shouldn't just shove everything against the wall but going out of your way to make sure things aren't against the wall makes things look cluttered ans chaotic. Also Cuba 2 is a very unimaginative name for an artsy type.

I've been using these tips since the video came out and my house looks soooo much better! I rarely used rugs before, and incorporating them into my pretend home design has made a huuuuge difference and allowed me to allocate space for different areas of a single room.

okay but the rug comparison wasnt the best it could have been. the medium rug would have also covered that full zone had it been square. the tilespace it takes is that whole zone
