Spy Vs Spy the game was one I could think of that hits that note, sure you play as cartoon spies from various unknown factions trying to steal -intel- from one another, but good lord most of that went out the window and boiled down to just petty funny nastiness simply because the other guy hit you in the face with a pie and stole your stuff and you wanna get even now, it especially rang true in the multiplayer mode which was just a Tom & Jerry esq free for all. Overlord 1 and 2 I think might fit the bill for this criteria, sure you play the -evil overlord- but you mostly control the little goblin like minions and cause immense amounts of property damage and chaos.

8: 14 reminds me of the time I ran a one shot Dnd game for my brother and his girlfriend. They were new to the game so I said they didn't need to go mad when it came to a background. My brother made a Goblin and I was surprised to see a several paragraph long essay for a background. Going through it I noticed some interesting storybeats.

this list is missing for honor, while it may not be a story game, it is a game that actively encourages and puts budjet towards being a toxic individuals the voice lines, the victory pose's the paried emotes, the vile exocutions where you knock someone down and kick him 4 times down there only to finish it off with a spitting on them. for honor really does embrace the toxic nature of its fan base and i love it, it's almost poetic that it's name for honor because honor is the last thing I think of when for honor is brought up

What about Overlord? You command a swarm of goblins. On your way to killing off some ex hero; your goblins crash their parties, eat all their food, get toats wasted on their beer, and piss it all out wherever they see fit. Also steal their gold and fancy stuffs while breaking everything around just because its fun to break things. IMO, Overlord is the no 1 Goblin Mode game.

one of my favorite fantasy races are Goblins, I sincerely wished more games had goblins as enemies/NPC's because theyre genuinely so interesting to me, so creepy, so fiendish, Dark & Darker really sold me again for the first time in SO many years since ES Oblivions Goblins that made me feel like not just my childhood but also sincerely unique monsters were utilized again

I first watched this video a few months ago, but I keep coming back to this video's concept because I think, culturally, there IS something fantastic about the idea of goblin mode. The concept of -does your back ache from carrying the hopes and dreams of precarious worlds- feels acutely right in a world fraught by crises like climate change.

I first watched this video a few months ago, but I keep coming back to this video's concept because I think, culturally, there IS something fantastic about the idea of goblin mode. The concept of -does your back ache from carrying the hopes and dreams of precarious worlds- feels acutely right in a world fraught by crises like climate change.

I'm a bit disappointed that Fallout 3 and New Vegas weren't on the list. The Karma system and the fact you can be a sneaky little bastard who does cartoonishly evil things is the perfect definition of being a goblin. Not only that, you are not just playing with a already set goblin. YOU are the goblin, and decide what kind of goblin things you will do.

I was hoping you would cover the Doom Diver Catapult (shoots a flying goblin that explodes on impact, and the Dwarf Gob-Lobber (hurls a big stone with a goblin chained to it that screams the whole way) from Total Warhammer 2. These two weapons truly underscore the worthlessness of goblins.

Just Cause. Got it free on Playstation Network and it is my go to goblin game. Grappling hook two helicopters together, sure. Grappling hook innocent bystanders to the helicopter blades and watch them swing around in a hopeless loop? Pure goblin.

I love Hitman just for the heeheehoohoo factor. You can just terrorize npcs by throwing a muffin at their face, or mildly inconvenience them by making them walk a very long distance only for you to steal their clothes.

i disagree on the heeheehoohoo factor in wow, some of the PEAK heeheehoohoo you can do as a goblin rogue was stealth, stun someone, and whilst theyre stunned, hit your victim with a /lick and scamper away

Divinity: Original sin 2, is such a banger, and going goblin mode, 'wackus bonkus' is such a good time. Highly recommend for that -hit it very hard- mentality.

I would say Red Faction Guerilla is a pretty good going goblin game. It's the most fun i had destroying stuff so it must get some pretty good goblin points.
