15 Minutes of DANGEROUS GOLF Gameplay --from the Creators of Burnout

The creators of Burnout have spun off their own indie studio, and their first game is Dangerous Golf---a game that essentially reimagines Burnout's Crash mode as a game about destroying beautiful environments with a golf ball

Was hoping it would be decent and figured for $16. 99 (Steam) what the heck. It's pretty bland and the controls just piss you off. Hardly any fun factor. Also if you have an AMD GPU be prepared for some crappy performance with the Nvidia specific -Flex- physics option enabled, it gets offloaded to the CPU instead of GPU on Nvidia cards (Basically another form of PhysX. Wish I would've read PC Gamers review beforehand.

Fun for five minutes, never play it again. That is what this game is. In fact, watching the video is quite good enough to have said -you played it-
You don't even have to swing, you just point and shoot. The golf ball might as well be a guided bullet, missile or grenade.
I pass on this. What a waste.

It looks like a one-man indie game that someone with way too much money picked up and said -eh the gameplay is fine, just make everything in it 4K ready. except for the font, make those shitty for a nice contrast-
Looks fun though, which is the most important part

This completely reminds me of the silly, fun that was Flatout. It also challenges the same concept that Flatout did. Taking a common formula and completely flipping it on its head! I love when devs can be this creative and Dangerous Golf is really no exception from that.

This reminds me of PAIN more than any other game. PAIN was a mindless, peurile game where you shot yourself out of a cannon and destroyed stuff. A great game which deserved a sequel. Not sure this game has quite the same appeal though.

It's like if Michael Bay made a movie about golf. This actually looks kind of fun though, although it could get tedious after a while.
It does look like fun though and the concept is original which is good to see

Definitely a purchase. This is one of those kinds of games I'd tell myself I'll play for like 30 minutes and then do something else, and then 3 hours later I'm still trying to beat my high scores.

seems a bit odd but I'll support them so they can make another Burnout, I've been waiting for that forever! also, this game looks like a good starting point for Black 2.

This reminds me of those weird little gems you'd find hidden away on some freeware disc on the back of a PC Magazine. Looks like great dumb fun.

at first I was disappointed - but then I found out this is just to fund their next game which will be a spiritual successor to burnout!

If Michael Bay played golf? Oh wait, needs more explosions, patriotism, Product placements, color correction and CG. GG

im wondering if this is like that game called PAIN for ps3 where you shoot people into the world. if so im buying it.

If only they would've just remastered Burnout Revenge for next gen instead of wasting time making this crap.
reply

To be honest, if you want to play something relatively simple, you could do worse than checking out this game.

Interesting route for the Burnout creators to take, kinda of irritating me that those plates didn't break
reply

well it's a creative mind who came up with this bizarre take on the whole Burnout theme, i'll say that much
reply

Ohh so they're making a golf game that simulates the one mode i hated the most in the burnout games nice.
