I had a beard once and get a kitten and he loved me till the day I shaved myself. and he hated me after that.
I thought about and let my beard grow back after 2 weeks and my cat fall in love with me again.
So I think a beard is a cheat code for cats.

Quit opening your eyes as wide as you can and staring at your cat lol. Slow blink, alot. and avoid making direct eye contact. I taught my girlfriend these tricks when my cat wasn't warming up to her and they are buddies now.
