Service Dog Wasn't Playful Until He Met His Kitten Sister

In service all day, and service all night.
He didn’t play games, or frolic, or run,
Always on duty, missing out on the fun.
Other dogs barked and played in the sun,
But our dear friends work was never done.
He didn’t know how to be a dog, it’s true,
His world was work, through and through.
Then one day, a kitten so small,
Came into his life, and changed it all.
She purred and she played, so free and light,
And slowly he learned, it was alright.
To take a break, to play and to roam,
With the kitten beside him, he found a new home.
Now they go on adventures, far and wide,
With the kitten, his friend, always by his side.
He learned how to play, how to be carefree,
The service dog is happy, as happy can be.
So here’s to the dog, and the kitten, so dear,
Their friendship is a joy, far and near.

We have done so much to change dogs. I understand the need for service dogs but it requires a dog to sacrifice so much of itself. Every time i see a service dog im glad someone has help in their life but i am also so sad to see that dog living in a mental and emotional cage. Its really not fair to make another living being sacrifice so much. Even for a good cause.

I don't know how puppy raisers can decide what the right amount of dedication is. Most of the time they get a good balance but sometimes they get overly trained (not to be distracted. I'm glad Samson found himself while still able to perform his job.

1: 36, i know this is unrelated but, suddenly i just thought, there is probably bad people out there who adopted small dogs or kittens just for their dog plaything (maybe to kill). just a thought. :/ i hope that is not the case.

Really interesting. Since he was a service dog, he may have been trained to ignore interacting with other dogs in order to keep his mind on business. I really don't know what all goes into their training. Very heartwarming video.

Animals don't judge they just love and when their mean it's because people teach them to be that way but with Samson even though he is a huge dog he was missing something inside and that was happiness

When I see service dogs it breaks my heart too look in there eyes. They have no life sure there fed but cannot be whst they are a dog. No life for them so hire a person and let them enjoy there life

Service dogs should be outlawed.
The abuse they go through in training is enough to condemn it forever.
Not to mention, dogs are not your personal slaves, and should live their lives freely.

Isn’t that part of Great Pyrenees personality They are the farm watch dog and very solitary and chill. Getting it other types of animals to watch over probably struck something deep within it.

Puppy has dogtisum. Hyper focus on task of intrest, trouble in groups and understand other dog social ques. Glad he has someone that he enjoys being around and make him happy

Don't support the breeding of Scottish Fold cats. The mutation which causes the folded causes other health issues as well.
