I had a coworker that would visit a horse at sanctuary and this man would be so excited and overjoyed with every visit. He would almost be in tears talking about how much the horse loved him and was so happy to see him. I was pretty miserable then and would put on an act to match his energy because I liked him and was genuinely happy for him he found a way to snatch his joy out of life but I had no joy.
