We live in San Bernardino CA and were astonished how many pitbulls were on death row. We were a little aprihhensive about adopting a bully breed, but we have raised Akitas and mastiffs for 25 plus years. We did not know how our lives were going to blossom with the Am. Bulldog we adopted. The love and silliness she brings to our pack (Akita and Pomeranian siblings) is incredible and a blessing. I can't imagine life without her. Yes, she is k9 aggressive sometimes with unknown dogs coming into our front yard, but we protect her from bad situations. Pitbulls, like Akitas, are an Alpha breed and need lots of love, your company and consistent loving training. Oh, and her bed is our bed. she is in fact snoozing on my pillow as i write this. PLEASE GIVE BULLYS A CHANCE. Learn about the breed and love them if you get one.

An example of their wisdom. A pitbull's sister (Australian shephard) got in trouble playing with a big, roundy dog. The pittie slowly stepped between the two dogs. Stood quietly looking into the eyes of the big dog. Big dog read the message and calmed down. The pitbull came back, leaned into me and sat quietly. No growl, no aggresion. He had to repeat the process which he calmly did. This is my neighbor's dog but he owns my heart.

They are lovely dogs. I think what peeps don't understand is that they need exercise and an active life. I don't like those scumbags that use this breed or any other breed for fighting - they have their own special form of delinquency. I respect and admire this human being for having his purpose in life. Thank you for what you do.

Anyone that's loves animal can't be all that bad words from my dad who loved animals too so my concultion is this man is a puppy hero who saves there life's at all cost must be given a metal for all great deeds. Your are truely worth all worth unfold and gods blessed you with this wonderful gift

Pitbulls are very affectionate and loving dogs. If you see a pitbull that is being aggressive or mean, then that pitbull was probably treated the same way by humans in their life. As long as you give a pitbull the love they deserve, they will do the same to you.

Good for you Jason. Pitties used to be called Nanny dogs in England because they're so good with children. It's the old fight ring that gave this breed a bad name but that's old timey thinking. They are lovely dogs.

I'm from UK. And they have a stigma here too. I've watched lots of videos now about these beautiful dogs, and I can say I was one of those people that thought they were dangerous. Not any more.
