Being here is Australia those buggers are everywhere and so so funny and so so noisy when you have 300 or 400 hundred of them in a flock. We call them flying bolt cutters they can eat through ANYTHING they can cause a lot of problems with building it’s been known for these things to turn up and destroy a houses back decking in one afternoon also, they can live to 120yrs. literally a pet for life! or a 2 yr old kid for life! :-)

I love his comment about a pet bird being an extension of the family. This is so true. My own pet parrot goes by the title of 'The Bird of the House'. That is what she is. I am her chosen human, and she is The Bird. When it comes to these sensitive, intelligent creatures, the normal idea of pet ownership just don't work. It is my honour to be her Birdslave.

Do you want another My mom has one of these birds. She’s had it for 10 years or so and it’s getting to be too much for her to clean the cage and care for the bird the way it should be. I would love to see her baby bird end up in a home like yours!
