Grieving Dog Has The Best Reaction To Meeting His New Brother For many years, weve always had two dogs (OK, or sometimes 3. When one gets old and passes, I feel like each time a part of the wonderfulness of that dog gets passed to the next generation. Its still tough to say good-bye to the older dog, but once we find a new friend, I start seeing the same thing happening again. Its now 30 years since we got our first one (a street dog we rescued when we lived in Cairo, Egypt, and I feel like theres been an unbroken string of doggy traditions weve had ever since. I feel like some little traits of that very first dog have been passed on right down to the two dogs next to me right now as I write this. For the most part each dog is their own dog, but still, for every generation, I can point to a few behaviors that I know have been passed down from the previous dog. So good on Lenny -- Im sure hell be treasured both for him and for how he will carry the legacy onward from Wyatt and Mavis!

Dogs are very intelligent creatures. They are capable of telepathic communication. When something like this happens in your dogs life you tell them what happen. You tell them your friend died. You know they went to doggy heaven. Whatever it is. dogs understand the principles of the energy and the concept. Then, when you finish explaining it to your pup, go out and get him a new friend. He hast to know what happened to the other dog because until you tell him the truth, it’s just a mystery in his mind.

I had 2 dogs and one died, the Spaniel missed the other dog so much she was going down hill fast, went to the local rescue, went to see a dog but that one didn't like mine and went for her, another one came out [Border Collie X] they got on like a house on fire and all was well again, at 3 1/2 years old our new dog started life in her 5th [and last] home

You can really hear Lenny saying, I really miss Mavis mom. I miss her soooo much. God did not simply make a world with animals, plants, and humans in it, but He created a ecosystem that rely on each other and decided to make us its stewards.

Can’t stand it when People act like animals have no consciousness or feelings. This is a great example. They are not mindless meat bags.
