Blind dogs can have wonderful lives if they’re with the right people. Our wonderful little poodle went blind at 6 years old due to diabetes. She lived a full life to the age of 13 years old. We just had to watch her, and not leave her on our bed alone, carry her up the stairs, and keep her away from harmful situations. She knew the layout of our kitchen, family room, and where the door was to go out to potty. I would clap my hands to guide her to me if she walked over to get a drink or her food dish. She was one of my special gifts in life. I miss her so much.

My son rescued a pup left in a closed box in front of a dumpster in Cary, NC. He heard whimpering when he went to drop off garbage before work. His name is Murphy and he is a happy 14-year old senior now living in ND. Yes, there are far too many malevolent and despicable people but there are good people everywhere. There are 35 million stray dogs in India. My friend was there on business and said it is a horrifying crisis. I am trying to focus on the good and keep the world’s woes in perspective.

What I will NEVER understand (will never get my mind around) is how civilized people can just put an animal in a box, put it on a curb, and leave. OR, throw it in a dumpster. What the hell is wrong with people! They're completely blind & deaf to the thought of doing anything wrong or irresponsible. Out of sight, out of mind. And they pass this attitude on to their kids. How to deal with living things you don't want.

I’ll never quite understand it, I just look at a puppy and I love it and want to cuddle and nurture it; how anyone could abuse or abandon such a sweet little guy. my brain just can’t compute.

I wish people wouldn't abuse animals there so innocent. Not saying this to be mean but people who do this don't have a heart.
Edit: I am glad people are willing to take strays in and save there live mentally and physically

He is so adorable. My Kai is white as well and we worried originally that he may be deaf but he isn't. Unfortunately a couple of his siblings are deaf but they adapted very well and they all are the sweetest

I mean, it's great that they saved this beautiful dog, but they should have taken him to the vet within 24 hours of finding him (which should be done for any abandoned or stray dog people find.

Blended food. tuna/organic peas/pumpkin/egg/olive oil/probiotic in water/blueberries/coconut flakes etc blended with water is easy to lick up. Goat milk may help.
