I was similar. I got 2 cats from a shelter that had been strays together for years. One had been attacked by humans and had to have a jaw operation first. The first few days they hid in the house from me, only coming out to eat or use the litter box when I wasn't around. It took 3 months before one came to me to be stroked. I was amazed. It was bliss. It has been one year now. They like being outside but they like being cuddled as well. I adore them, easily the best thing I ever got myself.

What a wonderful lady, an Angel here on Earth. She saw this poor little fury soul in need of compassion, love, understanding, and a new place to call her home, and gave Barbara all of these things and more. I hope they will have a long and happy life together, and Barbara the cat learns to love her new mum the way she loved her deceased dad. Love to them both.

Cat’s are very loving and loyal but, they are not dogs. You can’t chose them. they have to chose you. even then, they own you. They only want so many rubs, so many holds, you have to feed them when they are ready! But, us as humans, we love these lil users!

Last week I adopted a couple of tribbles about 11 weeks old. I did enough research to understand that you need to give them time and space to adjust. Long story short, within four hours they were sleep on my lap and purring away like mad. So far so good!

I volunteer at a cat shelter and there is a cat with a biting history. Every time I was with her she was super sweet. She loves face scritches but has a sensitive lower back.

She is a marvellous gift. My cat is gentle & quiet & sits next to me most nights but is not loving & affectionate like yours. Appreciate it. You’re blessed.
