It was a chick-ling just out of the nest. He was actually learning how to fly. It makes sense she said a crow. The larger birds hunt and feed off the smaller birds nestling especially when both parents are hunting for food for their babies. Many times they'll come back and chase down the bigger bird, pecking at them in flight while the bigger bird carries off their young. When the bigger bird gets tired of the double assault they usually drop the nestling. If you yell or honk your horn at the crows they get scared and drop the chick-ling in most cases.

I had several robins when I was a kid (10-11 y-o) in Chicago. I fed them canned dog food, hamburger, mulberries, other berries, and earthworms. I had 4 once and raised them until they migrated. I also had one once through one winter. His name was Herbie. He left once for a week. I looked all over for him. Then I found him in the process of pulling out a worm. After he returned that time, he never ate a worm again.

I so much like and appreciate the way she assisted the little fellow.
Other people knowingly, although they wont say it, keep little animals in their homes, saying things like I am going to release him [or her] when he gets better but with the intention of keeping them as pets. This girl did a truly wonderful job by giving him plenty of outside time as he grew.

When I was 8 I rescued a baby robin that fell out of his nest in a storm he had barely any feathers his eyes were closed. I fed him with a dropper at first, then worms, he grew and grew, we would let him out in the yard to learn to fly and eventually we left him out in our hemlock trees over night. After a few nights he was gone.

I really loved how the little bird bonded with the young lady. I might be wrong but I’ve a notion that it’s a thrush not a robin. The robin is red breasted whereas the thrush is speckled.
I realise it’s not important but it might make sense to someone.

I raised 4 robin's in my lifetime and it was always tough to let them go. The demanding cheeps for bugs was never ending I took them with me even to work. There so amazing to me I'll never forget the love we shared.

Errr. that's not a Robin. We have (full grown) robins in our garden that are less than half the size of that bird.
It's a Thrush. Or is this a joke and I need to get out more.

Beautiful. I like that he's free to roam and fly and chooses his own way in life.
Some people kerp birds in cages, its disgusting.
Thank you for what you've done for him.

This bird doesn't look like what I know robins look like, I know it's a young bird, but maybe it's a different specie of the robin I know here in the UK.

She didn’t a license to help this Robin, Robins are protected by law. it's illegal to rehabilitate wildlife without a permit.

I've heard birds raised by people can't vocalize properly. They have to hear other birds.
