People Rescue Giant Manta Ray From Fishing Net Beautiful rescue by these kind men. I saved a stingray from some fishermen when I was a kid. I was on vacation with my family in Florida and there was a dock by the motel. These fishermen caught a stingray and pulled it up on the dock. Oh they were so cruel to it and they pulled the hook out and were stepping on the poor thing. The two guys ran back to the motel to tell their friends and while they were gone I found a tennis racquet and although I was 10 at the time I managed to use the racquet to scoot the poor ray off the dock and back into the water. It landed upside down but quickly turned over and swam away. I threw the racquet down and ran back to the motel before they returned. I was so happy I could help the poor thing.

Im glad more people are realizing the manta ray is a beautiful creature. They are not aggressive, completely harmless to humans, and super intelligent. Mantas are up there with whales and dolphins. Im sure this manta ray will remember being rescued, and will return the favor one day.

the net probably came from the fishing boat in the backround. and since manta rays cant breath without water passing through their gills. things look grim

Hold on! So they stumbled on to free fresh dinner for the whole neighborhood, but instead, threw it away! First world people, man.

Humans are idiots who can't think rationally. The onlookers prove it. Instead of helping they either watch, scream or film.

The Manta ray did not get caught in the net. The net caught a Manta ray. Due to careless fishing.

He was like saying thank you. Those fishing nets destroy so much sealife.
