SPOT was my adopted old dog. He was probably 10 or so when I got him. German Shepherd who had welts on his pelts where he had been beaten. I adopted him from the local Drive-In movie theater where he was living on microwave burritos and tombstone pizza leftovers.
He got a bath, a massage, some leftover prime rib my roommate brought home from his cook job and he was mine and I was his. He literally slept ON me for weeks afterwards. He started a fire on my couch by his tail knocking a cigarette into the couch stealing a ham sammich. He ate my kid sisters hamster on Thanksgiving. He was a GOOD dog. If the Rainbow Bridge is real, I know SPOT is waiting for me on the other side and I almost cant wait to see him again.

I rescued an American bulldog and she had an 8lbs tumor on her spleen also, she was so sad and could hardly walk. I took her to the vet and they did emergency surgery on her. She recovered and was a bundle of joy for about a year and last fall she started losing weight and it was cancer and i had to put her down. that poor dog had such a hard life, and it broke my heart to see her waste away, God I miss you Lou Lou. I will see you soon baby

I had smote for 6 months before he left, he was old and his owner died, there was no ware for him to go so i had him, the pain of loosing him still pulls on me.
I want them all, but I cant do it as I think I would loose my mind with grief.
so to all those who give there harts to older dogs and the love and safety they need in there final years you are stronger and better than me and i love you for it.

This is a lovely story however having adopted several Senior dogs ourselves I am surprised they let this woman adopt Holden without meeting her other dog first I'm in Indianapolis and I don't know any local rescue or shelter that would let someone adopt a dog without first meeting the other dogs in the home. That being said, Holden's new mama is totally hot, and I love her tight white pants and heels
