Dog Trusts His Brother More Than Anyone - Hedgie the Pitbull Its weird to see how vets (certified by PETA or whatever organization or not), so easily ask you to put your pet down as if they can understand but not feel what we feel for our pets. Strange and not so good! I grew up in a subrural town in India and growing up I saw so many dogs, cows, owls, etc. Being treated by their families in classic Indian ways some natural home remedies, etc. In many regions of India and the vest, we dont trus organizations like PETA especially for animal safety, shelter or conservation given that in the US there are proven cases against PETA and its animal cruelties and dumping through killing. In India, they stay mostly for political propoganda which is the worst thing to look at!
I adore such families and young people and have huge respect in my heart for those who try supporting stray animals altruisticaly with all their heart. Its beautiful to look at

Every, and I seriously mean every Dog that I have helped overcome fear, has responded to me lying down near them and letting them ask if I can be trusted by giving them the time to reach across the space between us, and they have always wanted to be near me. It's like they sense that it is up to them and on their terms, their innate need to belong and bond compels them to ask that tentative question of is this safe, am I safe. I'm not going to BS on about Dog psychology, I'm just saying that this works in way's which analysis can't do justice. We must never allow ourselves to fall from grace through abuse and neglect of animals.

He's there when you need him, just as you hope you can be when and if he needs it in return. It's love.
As to his breed (the DOG obviously, the skull's no where near wide enough for a pittie (even half I'd have thought) but there's definitely Husky in there and some other form of bully breed, most likely a Staffie but with an almost mixed merl coat ) Purely speculation of course and irrelevant as he's plainly awesome; D

Mason, you are an INCREDIBLE young man! I can not help but feel that Hedgie is the most fortunate dog in the world. You found each other in time for you to be there to save his life, care for him and show him love. Hedgie is a gorgeous, gorgeous dog. May you two have the best life possible together!

Question, Was his back leg weakness degenerative myelopathy caused by improper nutrition on the basis that he couldn't extract appropriate caloric and vitamin amounts due to megaesophagus Has it been tempered or repaired now that he is receiving proper treatment of ME

If you have a dog they will ALWAYS be your 'Best Friend, ' because no human will ever love you the way your dog does - we're damaged, incapable of the loyalty, trust and emotional openness that dogs never fail to give and teach us to give.

This hurts. Me and my dog were exactly like this kid. It's been 15 years since my best friend, a golden retriever called Eetu left the mortal realm. Life really is not the same after. I am alive but i am not living, not since he died.

NO! I had one for 17 years! It was rough sometimes but worth it. Sometimes congee (rice cooked to slimy stage) works wonders with ground beef or chicken, not too thin so it stays down better, a smooth food. Best wishes you can do it!

Heartwarming story, and both Mason and Hedgie are quite special. I love the ingenious feeding chair, and the way Hedgie has adjusted to it. I hope that, with the special feeding arrangement, Hedgie will be OK.

You are a wonderful young man. You love your boy, that's obvious, and he loves you. Like you, I would do anything for my boy Sputnik. It's called love. Nothing difficult about that. Well done.

Without knowing the future, Mason knew Hedgie was his dog. There's some undeniable magical, spiritual, whatever you call it. something going on we can't see that put these 2 together.

This is such precious - this teenager and his dog are so devoted to each other. The fact that he has walked the extra mile when his dog became ill. Really touching
