EDIT to my first post of 2 years ago.
Last December, we had a stray come around that was friendly but still hissed and meowed at us at the same time. Long story short, 15 months later, we had her fixed and chipped. She sleeps in the house during the day and on our bed at night, until about 4am, when she wants out. During the day, when the weather s nice, she likes to be outside most of the day. But she’s ours.

My last cat, Theodore, was a stray who showed up in the garden. He was the best cat friend I've ever had, we became extremely close after a few days and when he passed it was like losing a child and a best friend at the same time - I'm just blessed that I got to spend time with him. So happy to see Boysie found his home!

Boysie is a big, beautiful kitty! Love his large tough-looking head. But he's really a pussycat inside.
Put STRAW in Boysie's little hut. Blankets will absorb moisture, even from the air, and make it hard for him to keep warm.
Thank you for giving Boysie a Happy Ending and making him part of your family

Sammie was coming in through the kitty door to eat at night when I was asleep. I am a light sleeper and would talk to him. At first he (actually turned out to be a she) would run away. So I would let him eat for awhile. Now, almost 4 years later she jumps into my lap and loves to be there. Patience

Accidental cats are the best cats. When I was a kid I saw a beautiful long haired orange female cat creeping around our backyard. Started going out and giving her breadcrumbs. She stayed, and the rest is history. She kinda hated me the first few years, but by the end she was my best friend. RIP Annabelle.

Cats usually go where the food is, unlike dogs they have very little loyalty. I remember house-sitting several years ago, when the owners returned after six weeks the cat, lying on my lap as they walked through the door, looked up, and promptly went back to sleep.

I soo understand you. I had cats and lost them through time. I’m 78 years old and I’m beyond the caring and the cost and the pain of loosing. But I would get another one in a New York minute if I felt capable of being responsible. Not going to happen.

Big, round, furry face like that, he's definitely not been fixed (they have fur like that to protect their faces in fights. That he's friendly, means he's not feral either. Some jerk probably dumped him and moved away. I'm glad you're helping him out.

Boysie's far too affectionate to be a feral. He somehow got lost or was abandoned. I'm so glad these kind people gave him a great forever home. The cat distribution system is successful once again.

The cat was very happy when you invited to come in, and was comfortable sitting in your living room! Thank you for
welcoming him in your house and giving your love!

He looks like a tom, big shoulders, hair a bit maney on his head, back end held low. If I am right, he went off, probably to make some kittens somewhere.

I don't believe he was a stray. He seems comfortable and used to people. Something probably happened to his original owners. I'm glad he found you guys.

I like how he came to the front door. He was ready to come and live with you. Thanks for sharing. It’s really special when a animal chooses you.

It took a long time to get him to trust us.
-first thing they do is take him to get fixed.
Imagine his trust issues after that

Boysie for all practical purposes owns the house now. You might as well sign over the deed to the property asap.

I would love to have a cat but the real estate won't allow pets and I cannot afford to move.

To all women out there, you can't go wrong with a man who loves to take care of a cat.
