Giving A Hissing Feral Kitten A Bath And This Happens. Faith = Restored This is adorable! I found a feral cat. She wasnt ready feral but she was at the same time. She probably had a home but then she mush had ran away so then she got used to the wilderness making her a bit feral. We posted stuff trying to find her owner but nobody responded so we kept her. She ran away the second day we had her and the next day i found her matting with a black and white cat. She gave birth to six kittens, three calico girls, and three orange boys, two of the orange kittens were twins and one was a bit smaller then the rest. We kept one of the boys and named him Griffin (based on the hogwarts house Gryffindor)

I tamed a feral cat once. He would hide under a car in the driveway. I put food under the car and sat a ways away, talking to him. Every day I would get a little bit closer. Then I put the food slightly out from under the car, then all the way out. Eventually, he ate close to me. He scratched his ears and yield in pain-terrible ear mites. We were able to get him to the vet just fine. I treated him for the mites every day for a month. He discovered he like to sit on my lap after the treatment. We had him for 15 years.

This is my cat’s twin. Exactly the same pattern on the face. He was also feral and in bad shape so we took him home and saved him.
He was not grumpy though, very clingy and would always sleep in my neck. He had cat flu so would sneeze on my face in the middle of the night, he gets really runny eyes on cold days so always climbs under the blanket, and the medicine they gave him caused him to lose 3 teeth.
He’s beautiful and kind. Going strong for 7 years now.

One of my foster took a week or 2 to even get out of her ''house''. Now, at night, she explores a bit, naps on the top of her house and even started playing! She is still very scared and shy around humans, but I will take all the time needed for her to be socialized and one day to find her forever home

OMFG! Are you freaking kidding me! you allowed a kitten to be taken out of your home without a carrier All that work and you know the kitten could have freaked and jumped out of this woman's arms at any second. So so wrong honestly really bad mistake on your part!

tysm when I rescued one of the strays from my street, I found him covered in oil and tar from hiding under cars in the Memphis heat. My dude and I both had to take a personal day because it required two of us and a lot of time to pull it off. Great work.

I think that cat is in large part a Turkish Van. They're long-haired cats without the usual undercoat to keep them fluffy, so the hair has that special look. They're also predominantly white with a (usually orange) tail and head marks.

Just short of seventeen years ago the neighbors and I kept watch on a feral pregnant cat. We never tried to pick her up, but she would let us stroke her lightly. One of the kittens she had is now curled up on my bed.

Seriously, this woman has a gift. It's not the first time we see her her and she makes miracles with cats. Love and patience are not enough, she must have been a mama cat in all her previous lives!

Top of the morning foster ma, I think I’ll just lay right here.
She is precious. Thank you once again, Nikki. You’re an amazing foster momma and an amazing and special person!

I want to start all over again with my 4 cats all of them hates bath I can’t bath myself at home. I get cuts scratches all over me I have to take them for grooming. Any tips on how to bath them

Cats and kittens take longer to trust humans. Lots of TLC and soft talking to them. They don’t like loud noises and I know they hate water. You can always give a cat a sponge bath.

Well done! Currently socializing my foster kitty as well, we’re taking a slightly different approach but she has opened up so much! Has yet to let me touch her though lol

There's something about hissy face that for me it's just cuter than the calm and clingy cat. I love grumpy cat not always grumpy but have a little attitude sometimes
reply

There is absolutely something about bathing a kitten that bonds you together. They need to trust you and you show that you are trustworthy.

I can feel the glare from the cat in the 1st 30 seconds. It's awesome the lady worked with the cat and helped it learn to trust/love.

I am so amazed by foster pet parents. They have a strength not most of us have. I absolutely couldn't. I would end up being a cat hoarder.
reply

I love what she did for the cat, it was heartwarming - yet she can't take care of herself This should be primary directive of all humans.
reply

I have feeling she belong to somebody at one time and they just an abandoned her because it did not take her long to trust agin.

There are people that dont to deal with animal oders or no other oders so don't force your situation on everyone else.
reply

Thank goodness she got to this kitten before it was too late and she wouldn't accept human kindness and love it all
reply

Me: This girl is as grumpy as they come.
Also me: yes, that describes me ppuuurrrfectly in the morning.

reply

Spending this much time earning the animals trust and affection, just to break that and give her to someone else.
reply

She wanted to continue to be spicy soooo bad but she just couldn't bare the brushes and scratches lol.
reply

I know that there are cat lovers but cat lovers cant subject everyone else to there feeling.
reply

That is beyond beautiful. Thank you for sharing, and thank you for saving the little kitten.
reply

Aww she's actually pretty patient for a bath. I think she knew she needed that so bad.
reply

Cats like that like toys but not as much as a brown paper bag or box it comes in.
reply

Look at this. Look at this. Look at this. ’ I’m so happy for you. Thanks for sharing

Always keep the kitties indoors. saves their lives and the birds and ground animals, too.
reply

Definitely not feral. Glad you got her when she was still able to be socialized!
reply

Most people don’t get this kind of love from anyone besides their parents.
