Watch This Guy Bring a Dead Mouse Back To Life I believe the mouse was in torpor. In case you didnt know, rodents fall into torpor if they either dont get enough food or theres another issue. Their metabolism, heart rate, temperature and movement decrease significantly, just as in hibernation but it lasts short period of time. This state can be dangerous to the mouse. You really dont want this to happen to your pet mice, because it may not wake up. What this guy did was increasing its body temperature which waked it up from this state. Although if its not fed soon, the little rodent might fall right back into torpor again. Although some species of jumping mice are capable of long-term hibernation, same as ground squirrels. Not sure if this species hibernates or not. Just to get away with the dead from the title.

well I saved one off (I sure hope. I gave him a hope's chance he was really cold) but I warmed him up) a good trap. Inhumane BS. Somehow got him off (got bit for it but I'll take it cause some people have no heart) Tried washing the goo away from it's mouth and feet mainly and after an hour let him fight outside. propped up against a rock but he was movie. 30 min later he's long gone. Bit stung how bad those goo traps are (Banned now in the UK, last year)

This happened to a mouse where I work. It was trapped in a ditch that a city worker made while working on a water line. A friend seen him and picked him up, and I told him not to just toss him to the side because he could be in a frozen state.
I picked it up, put it in a box inside and a few hours later the little guy was awake trying to hop out of the box. Blew my friends mind and he thinks I'm God now for some reason lol.

I used to feed a deermouse that lived in the door frame of my spraybooth. At one point he would climb kinto my hand and eat there while I rubbed his back. My boss laid down some poison bait for rats so I caught the mouse into a box to release him in a field. Nature has a plan for everything it evolved.

I truly appreciate you taking the time to help when our tiniest little brothers and sisters fall into trouble. So much of the suffering that animals experience is a direct result of human activity. That hurts my heart, as does the thought of any creature suffering at all. Thank you for sharing!

Ladies and gentlemen, if you ever handle a wild rodent, be sure to wash your hands very shortly afterward and very thoroughly, and absolutely do not touch your face until you do. You just can't tell whether they are carrying hantavirus.

Aaah, good that you record it. that's also the first thing I do, when I see a animal that seems to be dead.
Seriously, I never get how people think about filjming in those kind of situations

He is such a lovely little mouse. Thank you for taking the time to revive him and the thoughtful, sage advice to release then near where you find them so they cab get back home.

2 weeks later the mouse got into the guys house and brought all his friends with him. Then the guy called an exterminator haha. Bet they won't show us that part.

That mouse wasn't dead, it went into torpor. That's similar to hibernation, but it's dangerous and it can lead to death.
reply

thank you for your compassion for the mouse. It's a creation of God. It deserves empathy and kindness.

Look, I fixed the title: Watch This Guy Mess Up A Mouse's Hybernation And Play It Like He Rescued It!

Maybe don't release him EXACTLY where you found him - I'm sure he doesn't want to go back in that trench
reply

Should check for visible nipples because she may have babies and should be release where he found her.

A faster way to warm them up is to stick them in a microwave.
