My wife (a dog person) still doesn't really believe that cats can have all sorts of personalities - including caring and sympathetic types like this. Ironically she became unexpectedly attached to my own cat who was generally stand-offish (because he had history so was a bit of a basket-case. But one of my family's cats would do exactly the behaviour shown in the video with anyone who was crying or upset at home - I tried to explain to my wife that cats can be very different but she isn't convinced.

I had a big, grumpy old cat that that didn't like anyone. I was her favorite person, and she only let me pet her sometimes. But, she LOVED my rescued blue pit. They'd snuggle all the time, even though the cat was almost as big as her, and usually rambunctious. It was heartwarming.

Although I would love to believe that this video is true, I couldn't help but notice that the placement and angle of the hidden camera, on any given day, can vary wildly. Also on any given day, while the dog and cat supposedly are home alone, the covering(s) on the couch change.

That dog was not anxious. It was rolling around with belly exposed. It’s a cute video but no excuse to misinterpret dog behavior. Dog was happy and has a snuggle buddy.

This is funny. The dog was upset his owners went to work and the cat eventually made the dog anxious for its owners to leave so it can snuggle with the cat.

Poor dog. I know what thats like buddy but soon you will miss it if hes not there. Cats are great pains in the arse but worth every minute
