My cat would eat that thing so fast. Ew. Rodents are so gross. Don't get me wrong, it's freaking adorable when different animals, especially ones like these 2 get attached and love each other but, ew. Rodents, especially rats and mice PEE WITH EVERY STEP THEY TAKE just about. Rats are how Europe lost a third of its population. Ech. Gross. But still very cute and heartwarming. (I just really don't like rodents. That's just me)

Sad really because her rattie friend will only live for 2/3 years then be gone, thats why I stopped keeping rats they are amazing friendly things and most misunderstood but sadly have such a short life span!

Rats lifespan is two years or, a little more. It would be interesting to see if kitty would accept a new friend. I have four cats and I know a person who has rats. They are cuddly, and they smell good.

Yes, I would supervise, too. After all, more than anything else, a cat is a hunter. - - and we all know what kind of animals cats hunt. Natural instincts are very difficult to overcome.

I used to have pet rats for several years. They are amazing animals but it is so sad they they only live 2 years. It is such a short amount of time for such intelligent creatures.

Used to have 3 rats. Smart as heck but a short life span and prone to cancer. Very sad. I loved my rats though and cherished the time they had been with me.

Very happy the cat’s predatory instincts aren’t triggered. Wow! I didn’t know rats play with toys. Never had a rat. Interesting.
