i've been especially fond of rhinos ever since seeing a really big one at the zoo.
you could see them over a chest height wall, thier enclosure was slightly lower than ground level.
my older sister was mean to me all the time and she had a cleanliness ocd.
the rhino backed up and pissed against the wall plashing her all over, it was dripping from her hair.
between that and the neighbours dog peeing on her head while she sunbaked and me getting to the back door before her and locking her out are 2 of my fondest childhood memories.
i love rhinos.

These two can never be released back into the wild TOGETHER.
Some years ago there was also a friendship just like these. The Zebra foal raised among rhinos. When released the now grown adult Zebra continued to associate closely with Rhinos. Sadly one day a Rhino that didn't know the Zebra was disturbed by it's bahaviors, attacked and killed it.

I do wish they can eliminate all the poachers here in our country south Africa. It's the evil and horrors. 40 rhinos was poached on a farm recently. One cannot comprehend the evil. Our animals are dying. Chinese thinks it's medicine but it's the same as your finger nails. Teach the Chinese maybe they will change

I have heard that baby rhinos are so sensitive that many have a hard time surviving after their mothers are killed, even if rescued. Trauma, sadness and loneliness are extremely difficult for baby rhinos but when there is another animal that they can bond with it increases the likelihood of survival

People that harm animals and poach just make me sick. I can’t imagine doing it to literally any living thing. There’s million of videos of animals mourning someone’s death, helping save people, other animals, and whatever else

I don’t know how someone can live with themselves poaching a mama. Poaching of any kind is bad enough. It breaks my heart. Thankfully, these two have found a loving friendship to help them thrive in this life! Beautiful

Love that they found each other in friendship. Wonderful. It's amazing how different species form loving, caring friendships so easily yet human beings can't even learn how to respect one another in their own.

Thank you for sharing - you have such emotion in your voice. Seems that animals get 'conditioned' too as young ones and as they grow the biases come about, just as we receive conditioning & 'programing too. Wow!

I wish humans could get along the way these two species get along. Both from the same continent would probably be enemies or just cordial acquaintances in the wild but have such a special bond it's beautiful

I can't hate the poachers. For them rhino horns are life changing wealth to people who often live in extreme poverty. I hate the rich foreigners who create the demand and the high prices for these horns.

I saw a video of a baby koala freaking out because it was being weighed and was taken from their mom for a bit. Imagine what it’s like for these animals to be taken forever and the baby is left stranded.

Run free like back into the wild Or a sanctuary They're basically domesticated aren't they And bonded. I would doubt they'd find a herd thats willing to hangout with the other.

It's a hard life for humans too in Africa. .. the rest of the world has dumped on this continent for centuries, it's good to see some whites fixing some of the damage.
