I think it was up near Apex NC. We were working in a development installing primary and secondary power. Under a sheet of plywood I found a little tit mouse. Anyway, it was freezing outside and little dude was almost dead. I put him in the work truck in a sweatshirt for a few hours and he came back to life. He was a bit lethargic but able to get around ok. I put him in the sunshine on a stump and it looked like he was going to be fine. Along came a redtail hawk out of nowhere and my buddy was gone. Poor little thing was a fighter but no match for a hawk. 3 grown men were almost moved to tears. It was really sad.

I admit that I have mixed feelings about mice. One bit me when I was about 5 & their teeth are scalpel sharp. We have a stray that stays with us when it's cold & our apt complex loves her because she keeps the mouse population down. We live where wheat fields surround us so mice are a problem. When she gets one I can't help but feel bad for the mouse. Had a rat one time named Pesky & she was a real sweetheart. I am glad this little mouse got a chance at life. They are cute little animals.

So I got her in my hands and carried her outside. She was so scared she peed in my hands. Everyone was looking at me like I was crazy. But I didn't care. I didn't want her to get hurt. And hopefully, I gave her a little more time to live. All animals deserve to live.

Every life matters, & each contributes something to this world/universe even if we don’t particularly know what that being’ or lifeform’s job or function is. , this is only my humble opinion. & I think we all have a job or a purpose. There is a lot I don’t know but I know this person was kind& compassionate enough to save this sweet little mouse. And to me that means a world to me & humanity has a chance.

It knew her, and it couldn't fly because of its injury, but it would still follow her everywhere and greet her when she came home. My cats have learned watching me catch the mouse from them & release the mouse in the field out behind the trailer now Moma Kitty catches the mouse and takes tiny creature to the bathtub where she can wrangle mouse actually innocent play not meaning to hurt the mouse & long enough I can catch & release Rowkeydokey sweet tiny friend development Luv it be goodstay kind Blessed Be

One of the most beautiful stories of The Doodoo I've ever seen! Absolutely incredible that he managed to save her, she was so tiny! Love performed this miracle. What a blessing for both of them, this loving connection! It made me so happy to see how happy she, her daddy, and her brothers were!

Mice & rats are very sociable animals. It’s always best that they have company in their habitat. I’ve had pet rats for years. It’s just sad their lives are so short! My teacup Chihuahua plays laying down on the bed with my rats! They even share steak bones!

As a teen, tried my hardest to rescue a batch of mice that were brought in by my stepmother’s cat (ALL Cats should be indoor) fed every mouse every couple hours without any knowledge. I lost all of them.

What a lucky little mouse. I'm so happy he got her some pals. (Hopefully gal pals lol. It started for me, too, with a wild baby mouse in 1983 and then I got fancy rats. I still keep a little mischief of 3-5 rats. Great pets!

Man I feel so bad for using mouse traps and poison I really do guess my old age is making me a lot softer I don't hunt anymore just love life so much and feel sympathy for all animals now.

Careful. Those types of wheels are very dangerous for rodents the way they are built with the two bars. They have been known to brek the necks & backs of rodents that get caught between.
