HEY! Im 12 and I watched this when I was 10 with my 8 year old brother! We hate horror movies (or at least I do) and Ive cried on Halloween. (We dont like scary and get scared incredibly easily) but THIS FREAKING SHOW WAS WHAT CARRIED US THOUGH 2020 AND MADE US LAUGH! The whole point is the mystery! DUH Mystery shack! Sure some bits were mildly spooky but that was the appeal it was something that had mystery but didnt scare us. My mom watched it with us literally every day and never once did she shut it off or say we should watch something else. And mind you that she sheltered us a lot. So yeah DEFINITELY FINE FOR A CHILDREN SHOW RATED FOR 7 AND UP.
Edit: its obvious that you shouldnt do anything thats dangerous that Stan approves of. (This coming from a rebellious preteen)

The dislikes are from the toxic and aggressive kids that think Gravity Falls isn't scary.
I personally think that ''Headhunters'' is the most horrifying episode there is. The whole second half of this episode is literally about Dipper and Mabel slaughtering the sentient Wax Statues who want to _BURY THEM ALIVE! _ Yeah that's scary stuff, but not inappropriate in the slightest. I still think it deserves a PG Rating, though.
