I agree with you. He knew he was put his people and still did it anyway. He should have took a pebble and returned it, instead he took the flower and kept it. Also he Ignored the problem instead of try to fix it. Why you ignore a big problem and not try to fix it. Oh, Virian should have never messed with the black rocks. At least he was trying to fix the problem unlike who should trying to fix. Also Rapunzel and her friends were trying to exclaty to fix it. Doesn't try to do anything about it until later. Instead he tries to protect his daughter and doesn't go about that in a healthy way. He is not a villian but is a guy who caused a lot of problems for the kingdom.

I have a Disney theory thats I made sure make sense because I saw a mess up on the Disney theory of Janes great grandmother, Belle.
At the end of the movie when Tarzan was going to England with Jane and her dad it was in like what, the 1900s? And Belle was born WAYYYY earlier! But thats incorrect. Going back to the end of the movie Jane and her dad are explaining Tarzan will be famous! And they will meet all these people in including, Queen Victoria. Victoria was born in the 1800s therefore Jane was born first because Victoria is still alive in Tarzan!

Rapunzel's Dad is not a villain like Mother Gothel he only was trying to save his wife and daughter from danger however he made mistakes that would cause Rapunzel to have a dark side. As for season 3 I think Cassandra will get back at Adina for tricking Rapunzel to trust her with the destiny of the black rocks and help her discover why she is linked to them and Rapunzel will use her moondrop spell to destroy Casssandra's transformation and then seperate her connection with the blue orb so Rapunzel will get it back.

Oh wow! Yeah sadly i agree with this list! it seems as if Frederick is like adrien's father from miraculous! Most of the time in the series, he made me sooo mad and made me feel bad for Rapunzel! I am sooo scared yet worried about season 3! I think Cassandra's doppelganger is the one who touched the moonstone and the real cass rescues everyone from her doppleganger and everyone tries to break into the room to help Eugene and Rapunzel! I just i need to know what happens!

I hate Disneys labels and stereotypes because they are wrong most of the time.
Im glad some people notice the true villain is the King because of all the trouble he caused from stealing, not returning stolen property, prejudging, never thinking of alternatives, mistreating outsiders, and being bad to the kingdom.
More people would notice this if they saw gray morality.
Black and white morality is wrong and unjust.

I bet that her friend Cassandra will fight her in the season 3 premiere and then get saved in the end of the episode and they will probably spend half the season trying to figure out why Cassandra took the moon stone and tried to use it against rapunzel etc and all that jazz plus king fredderick will try to put rapunzel back in her room and keep her there just like she season 1 finale

Its being said that King Fredric was becoming like Mother Gothel, however, Rapunzel was able to point out the difference between the two, Gothel kept her hidden for her own selfish reasons, while King Fredric did it out of love.
