I disagree. Most of these are from the first movie when Mal wasn't good until she actually fell for Ben. She had Fairy Godmother's wand in the end of the movie but stopped and was the one to say that she chose good. She was mean to Uma? Uma kidnapped Ben and tried to kill him by making him walk off the plank and she was already going through a lot of anxiety. In the third movie, she had definitely changed and was willing to turn her back on the people of the isle to protect Ben and Auradon. Yeah, she still made mistakes and told a lot of lies but she was trying to do what was best as Queen. Mal had to learn friendship, she had to learn love. Ben/Mal in a lot of ways is like a gender reverse of Belle/Beast. Beast didn't start out as kind, he had to learn, so did Mal.

Mal is a stuck up brat, she isn't even all that scary. She never had to work for a thing in her life and got everything because of her mother's reputation. In the books she basically steals coffee ig, don't remember what it was, but she steals it and the owner is too scared to cross her because of who her mother is. She's just so used to having things her way, that when she comes back to the isle in descendants 2, she's not used to not being the most fearful person.
She's a snob who lies to everyone, even her friends to get things done her way but can't even own up to what she did. And makes up nonsensical excuses which always work because she's the main character.

Mals biggest problem is that shes a foreigner who took the place of a legitimate queen of a sovereign country through fraudulent and deceptive means, and that was after she vandalized and attempted to steal federal property. Mal almost got Ben killed multiple times. She is entitled and thinks she is always right, even in front of the legitimate queen that she stole that position from. Imagine a foreigner coming into your country, almost destroyed it, stealing positions of authority from legitimate citizens, then feeling entitled to everything. We have a word for what happens to these people in our country, its called deportation.
