From full suits to mystical waving dresses, CGI magic has done it all! The work done in the editing phase of some of our favorite movies make major contributions to the look of remarkable characters, like the Marvel Cinematic Universe crew. Cate Blanchett radiates in her performance as Hela, but behind the scenes things looked a lot less epic since Blanchett was wearing a motion capture suit! All of the Quantum suits in Avengers: Endgame were in fact made by CGI. The reason? Very tight deadlines and the inability to make these impressive and intricate costumes quickly enough! While Chadwick Boseman had a very impressive costume on set, every single frame he appears in the movie Captain America: Civil War was digitally altered to include a full CGI suit. Whenever Tom Holland is in the SpiderMan Iron suit, hes actually in a motion capture shoot behind the scenes since the shimmering, metallic suit is CGI magic. When Dan Stevens was on set playing the Beast in Beauty and the Beast alongside Emma Watson as the Disney princess Belle, he looked a lot less Beast lille and a lot more like an oddly large and boxy mocap suit with platform shoes! No one can forget Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern suit. The glowing, full CGI suit didnt totally look the best in the end, but the idea behind it was a really interesting creative choice. Cara Delevingne was almost completely nude in Suicide Squad when she was filming since her magical costume was added in with CGI, while we still for to see the illustrations that were actually on her body! Were covering all these and more!

The CGI over superhero costumes is there in order to make the costumes more real, but also more futuristic because their suits are pretty futuristic.
The CGI can make it look a lot more dark and gritty or bright depending on how it is used. Also, the CGI to make the Black Panther suit already had to exist because they cant fit the entire suit into a necklace in real life. Also, most suits that exist today on the Big Screen are CGI because all those movies require CGI being used for the suit up, or the battle sequences anyway so they might as well repurpose that CGI to make the regular suit look better.

Remember how terrible CGI was back then well seems like now days their making these suits from MCU to DCEU looking more realistic that you wont even know its CGI. CGI RULES!

Oh boy. Seems we had Avengers: Infinity War on our mind! We meant to say ENDGAME, not End War. So sorry about that guys!
