In the Predator franchise s newest movie, Prey, Amber Midthunder plays Naru, Predator s first major foe. In this action film directed by Dan Trachtenburg, there were a ton of major stunt sequences to pull off and a lot of challenges that came with them.
One thing we re going to talk a lot about is Dane Diliegro s practical Predator suit. Wearing it was one of the major challenges that came attached to this film. While he was inside of it, he couldn t really see or hear anything. They had to help him get through the fight sequences with earpieces and sticks on the ground.
There was also a major malfunction after one of his scenes that could have been extremely dangerous. Not only that, but the mud pit which was nothing like a day at the spa apparently smelled so foul that the cast could hardly stand to be around it. The irony of that is it only started to smell after they d been inside of it.
Cleaning off all of that mud was also a huge inconvenience when it came to that mud, no one was able to catch a break. Dakota Beavers, who plays Taabe, also had a few difficult experiences when trying to perform his stunts. He wanted to do as many as he was allowed to so bad, in fact, that he wouldn t speak up about the injuries he received because he didn t want them to take him off.
