The Doctor Octopus one was great because it showed a flaw in the mind-swapping technology. It was not really a mind-swap but an aberrant form of mind control with glitches.
The Kitty Pryde thing made the most sense. If you could phase through matter and not fall straight into the center of gravity, you had other shadow talents. If you could selectively phase, you could use that to breathe if oxygen was around.
The love She-Hulk is NOT getting, especially now with Deadpool in the movies, is criminal.
Dazzler is totally awesome. She is a Disco era awesome character who had a LOT of different issues. She converts sound (and possibly kinetic energy) to light in any way she expresses. As a performer, this is mostly her giving a great light show by being the center of a concert performer. If she was to do superhero stuff, she would be an awesome counterattack hero. possibly a protagonist as a leader of a squad like the Avengers or Guardians. Forgive my bias. I was a fan of Dazzler for decades. She had for more potential than Jubilee and Jubilee had far more love.
I do love how much love Harley Quin changed. I love every form of it. She's insane. I don't mean that as a mere dismission. I understand a lot of mental illness, like how it's insane to scream at the television to expect a result is any less delusional than reacting to propaganda. Harley's first insane love is the Joker. As an antagonist and later as a protagonist, she became more. She went from some random psychologist that fell in love with a big DC main character to become a beloved fan character herself. A lot of people in every social category can relate to Harley Quinn in some way, one way or another. That was probably not her origin but that became the genius of her character. If she was not intentional that way, it was her metaphysical form of evolution.

I've only peripherally followed comics for decades now so I dont know too much about recent changes and stories. But Kitty was my favorite marvel (and indeed, comic book) character for decades (from like. 84 onwards. so I dunno how I feeel about her changes.

I am not homophobic but I really wish they would leave that out of comics. I didn-t know iceman is gay now, there was damn reason to change that. You want to represent the gay community then create a new character don-t change a beloved character.

When Gwen stacy was mentioned I honestly thought she going for the story line where Gwen stacy was killed by the carnage Symbiote then being cloned by doc ock basically making her half Gwen and carnage this awesome anti hero for a while
