just to do some clarification: The woman who sends spikes through people is actress/stunt double Michelle Lee who is playing Donna Diego. The other woman in the red light is someone different who I believe has the Venom Symbiote and then it transfers to Eddie Brock who is a better host.
The Symbiote who attacks the long haired man is likely Riot and he chooses Carlton Drake as his host because he is also a better host.

Remember in the comics, years after Eddie Brock separates from the symbiot? Eddie has cancer and he 'reconnects' with the Symbiot? I highly feel it'll be what will bring Venom and Eddie together. They might kinda change the comic timeline. That's why you see Eddie by that MRI machine. Just an observation.

One thing is for sure Sony is not selling spiderman or any of those 900 characters that they own but are open for crossovers so its dumb and totally out of the question for Sony to sell spiderman those 900 characters to Disney hell no!

Another comic reference is when the Venom head is getting torn from Eddie so we get to see both of there heads is from a comic although instead of Slasher is actually Carnage

I have a theory that at the end of the trailer, when venom and the other symbiote where fighting, its not the greyish blueish symbiote, its carnage.
