For me it would have to be from Jeff Buckley's first and only studio album Grace (in it's original form. On the haunting closing line of the final track Dream Brother he sings 'Asleep in the sand with the ocean washing over and then the album just ends. Then in 1997 he went drinking with a friend and went swimming in a river fully clothed. His friend lost sight of him and his body was found a few days later. Sad af.

Personally, One More Light deserves Number 2. I find it way too creepy that one of the last songs Linkin Park released before Chester's death was about suicide. It doesnt help that the last tour Linkin Park did before Chester passed was the One More Light tour.

Speaking of R. Kelly, I'd add Age Ain't Nothing but a Number by Aaliyah. The album of the same name was produced by Kelly and he and Aaliyah supposedly wed in an illegal marriage. Aaliyah was 15 at the time and Kelly was 27. And we know the rest.

Pumped up kicks by Foster the people is a pretty disturbing song, especially when you know it was about a school shooting. But I think it teaches us all when we’re at school you be nice to the quiet kid in the trenchcoat.
