Harry Potter is no way more iconic than Cap'n Jack Sparrow. Jack actually does something, he doesn't sit on his ass for 99. 9999991% of the time. Jack is witty, funny, a fighter, and actually DOES something in his movies, Harry did what in the 85 movies he was in ran away like a coward, waited for everyone else to do all the damn work while he sits on the sidelines and runs scared until the end when he actually has to do something and it was AFTER everyone else wore no-nose out.

Where's Rick from Casablanca It's the greatest movie of all time. Darth Vader should have been #1. Rick #2. Citizen Cain is boring as hell. I stopped watching it after 30 minutes. Number 1 movie of all time according to many lists. That's a joke. Overrated.
reply

It’s too bad Judy Garland was forced to take amphetamines to keep her cheerful for a long period of time then I had to get her barbiturates Laura Saturday. Does that help her sleep at night. That’s almost what Elvis did. He did it by his own voice.

I much prefer the original Wolverine from the animated media.
Hugh Jackman is way too charming and attractive to be as intimidating and savage as the character, he comes off as more of a Clint Eastwood wannabe.

reply

Fred C. Dobbs of The Treasure of Sierra Madre. Humphrey Bogart's portrayal of the paranoid Dobbs was a master class in acting. It was completely unlike any other character Bogart played. He was perfect.
reply

As longtime cinephiles, we all love these movie characters, especially Darth Vader (formerly known Anakin Skywalker); James Bond; Beatrix Kiddo; Joker (played by Heath Ledger); John Wick; and Batman.
reply

How could you forget Godzilla He should have been number. Who else has two different versions of the same character in two different movies within a year, and both were great Redo the list.
reply

Wolverine really
He is an asshole to everyone, don’t bother learning anyone’s name, hits on his teammate girlfriend and ruined all the other x-men forever.

reply

Katniss Everdeen (The Hunger Games)
Davy Jones (PotC Dead Man's Chest)
Max Rockatansky (Mad Max)
Caesar (PotA reboot)
deserve to be up there

reply

alas i think that in 20-30 years that list will stay the same. no more imagination, no more risk, no more expertise, no more talent in Hollywood.
reply

This is one of the worst lists I have seen! So many misplaced characters, where did they come up with this Disappointing to say the least.
reply

No mention of Superman The character without whom we would have no Superhero films No mention of Sherlock Holmes, the original adventurer
